If you are a Season Ticketholder and attended the Ravens game, you received an email from the Jets within the past several days. It is an online survey of your gameday experience. I beseech everyone who has received this email to respond to the Jets quickly. I know many of you with PSLs had a different experience than I did, but I also know Monday night's game was an eye-opener for almost everyone. Even my heating and air conditioning repair man this morning said to me, "What do you think of the new stadium? I've heard a lot of people complaining!" For me, by far, the biggest nuisance and hassle is the Orange Parking fiasco. If you are Upper Deck and along the Pepsi-Verizon (or even Pepsi Corner EZ) area, the hike to your car is unconscionable. I used my survey to BLAST parking management about a number of issues, but mostly the huge inconvenience that was bestowed upon Upper Deckers in or near the Pepsi Corner with an almost 2 mile walk to and from the car. I also hit the escalators hard. Going in, we used the escalators and found they had areas inexplicably roped off between levels, so that you had to go out and around the concessions to get to the next leg up. Ridiculous! But again, for me, it is the Orange Parking situation. I told them in no uncertain terms that if the Orange areas are not expanded (or exchanged with some of the Yellow areas), that they would undoubtedly lose many, many people from the Upper Decks. I told them that I feel deceived, that when I bought my seats from Manny Jacobo back in June 16, 2009, I had every right to expect that parking would not be a problem, since most of theparking is to the SW of the stadium. Instead (I told them), it's as if they intentionally went out of their way to make parking as inconvenient as possible for us, especially those who live south of the stadium. I know this is not the major concernof most of you, but I urge you to complete the survey anyway. I'm afraid some of the things that are wrong (do I dare go into the list?) will NOT be corrected because they cannot possibly be. I am talking about major, structural design flaws. But concentrate on what CAN be improved upon, namely the Orange Parking injustice and lot entrances/exits and staff heading people out into southbound lanes who want to go north and vice-versa. Simple pathetic management! Finally, be forceful. I told them in no uncertain terms that I will be ONE and DONE if the items that CAN be corrected are not fixed immediately, including re-naming parking areas. And I told them that I personally know many others who feel the same way. The ONLY THING these people understand is what affects their wallets. Tell them you will WALK AWAY, even if you are a PSL holder (heh-heh... ROJF will support that, I am sure, since it's so "easy" to do so) if these things are not corrected immediately. Thanks for listening. I am done for now, unless they call me. They asked for my email and phone number... so let's see if they call. I seriously doubt it.
That's weird. Here it is in its entirety: Dear Mr. XXXX X. XXXXXXX, The Jets value the feedback and support of our fans. I filled out the survey and also blasted them about the parking situation. i will post if I hear anything back.
Thanks man. I gave them my email and phone number. It will be interesting to see if they really give a damn enough to contact people or if this is all the same old lip service about "we value the feedback and support of our fans, but not enough to do much about your complaints."
I couldnt stand getting out of that stadium!! Not all the escalators were open ..they were making you go every which way around all consession stands..it was crazy! No better than last year ...if there was an emergency i would have had to jump off the side to get down ..haha ...other than that its fine i guess .... Also a vendor was mid pour with my beer and then the 2nd half started so the manger guy came over and took it out from under the spout. F'in BS.
Man, AWESOME pic, IS. I remember this scene very well. Dude, you were right next to me. I was in 335 with my son!
I went through the loop-T-loop thing with the escalators upon entrance. They were working, but they had the hallway blocked off next to the escalator and made everyone go around the concession stands (idiotic). It was so stupid I decided to take the stairs when we left. Exiting from 335, I noticed there are stairs at about 333 or so that go all the way down to ground level. So that's what we did, with no problems. The stairs are quick and easy and we just wanted to get TF outta there. Place is a freaking nightmare. I am going to say the stairway is located right about where IS took this pictue from. Right behind him should be the stairway from the concourse.
I didn't get the email but i did get a call from a rep asking me to answer a survey about my "game day experience", after i finished answering 5 questions, they gave me 2 free tickets to attend either the Pats or Vikings game in the club section. Not bad! I'm Section 135
I know some of you won't care about my parking issues, as I have a green pass. But I thought you might want to know it sucked for us too. I arrived at about 5:10 at the Paterson Plank Road entrance and it took me over 35 minutes to be parked in lot F. They made us drive past a half empty lot G before we could turn into lot F. But that wasn't the worst of it. Getting out, they forced us to head south out of the lot, away from PP road. With the lack of signage and all the new roads, I found myself on the Turnpike. I had to drop off my buddy in Hasbrouck Heights, just on the other side of 17. I wound up taking the turnpike north to I-80, to 17 south, to my buddy's home off 17. A trip of almost 15 miles, for a journey that was about two miles as the crow flies. I got the survey and blasted the parking. I then fired off an email to my sales rep telling him that the extra hundred bucks I paid for a premium parking experience was not worth it, and I was not going to pay for it next year. I got a call from my rep's boss. We have been playing telephone tag for three days. I just hope theynare working to make this farce better. It seems like most of the long time fans have had parking issues. I am wondering how this was supposed to be better?
Same here, never got an email but I received a phone call and was offered the two free club tickets as well. I wonder if these are Coaches Club seats. Regardless that's not a bad deal at all.
http://img830.imageshack.us/gal.php?...480resized.jpg Multiple people who complained got comped a pair of coaches club ticket even if they are in upper deck, even some non season ticketholders who just attended that game who called up to complain. I thought Coaches Club was sold out? Where are all the tickets coming from? Also Most people who got an extra pair in coaches club are throwing their orginal tickets or even their new coaches club tickets up on stubhub, heck they cant sit in two seats at once, Brillant Jets are added to secondary market when prices are collasping. 90% of people hate their seats and new stadium. Generally the following sections I spoke to were happy. 5k Touchdown club corner on side towards club goal line, 2.5k LL EZ, 7.5k LGL and 10K LSL and 6k TC 144 and 133 only only on side near 143 and 134 where you exit straight from stadium. Also UD rows 1-10 between the tens, pretty much everyone else thought their seat sucked and/or was overpriced. Everyone thought Orange Parking sucked.
It's interesting that you had problems too, because, looking at the diagram above, one would think getting in and out of Green would be snap. Just shows you how screwed up they are... can't even get people in and out of what looks like the easiest of all parking lots. And don't think any of these threads over here are only for Upper Deck Orange parkers. 17a's original thread started out long before any of us knew where we would sit or what the parking would be. My wife said to me last night (after looking at the diagram), "Why don't they have the parking in concentric rings... blue, then yellow, then orange. This way everyone can come and go from any side of the stadium." DUH! One look at this layout tells you it's a screwed up plan. And it's screwed up not only for Orange, but Yellow and Blue as well. If you're Yellow, you'd better hope your seats are in Pepsi Corner, because if they're on the Home Side, you've got a ton of walking. And if you're Yellow and live northeast of the stadium, good luck again. because with the exception of Lot M, everything for you is on the SW side of the stadium. Same thing with Green. If you live northeast of the stadium and especially if your seats are on the home side or possibly Club, your parking is a nightmare too! How inconvenient is it, if you live to thenorth, to have to park on the south side, go to your club Seats, and then have to walk south again and try to get past all the bullshit traffic trying to head north from there? Make B and D Green, in exchange for making F Yellow. Then make half of J and all of K Orange. This is for starters. Now you at least have cars parked in areas where they want to be in relation to their seats and to exit points. The rest is then just a matter of organizing traffic flow to get those cars out in the same direction as they want to be headed in. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that a person from the south wants to park on the south side and exit from the south side and avoid going back into a tangled up nightmare. Sheesh! MAYBE IF PARKING MANAGEMENT WOULD VISIT THIS BOARD ONCE AND DO A PRINTOUT OF SOME OF THESE IDEAS, THEY MIGHT GET A FREAKING CLUE AS TO WHAT IS WRONG AND HOW TO FIX IT!
Wow seems like parking is a huge issue. If I go to a game this season I guess I'll take public transport
If any of you guys are so peeved with your experience and can't bring yourself you use those free tickets they gave you, feel free to throw them my way. I am not too proud to beg...
Free tickets? I assume you're being sarcastic which is frowned upon here. I'm looking at 220 with parking for my two tix.
I have said this before, I HAVE HAD ZERO ISSUES WITH THE PARKING AT THE NEW MEADOWLANDS. I get there early, I leave at the end of the game and so far so good.
