Why does he always think something is "fishy"? lol, clown.

Clearly the Jets are overly concerned, obsessed even, with not turning the ball over. Any other fishy questions dude?

He has written maybe 3-4 good articles in 5 years. He thinks it's his birthright to dumb down his articles for a typical reader, the Same Old Jet Fan.

Maybe Cimini is implying that Greene hurt his ribs when he ran into the offensive lineman and knocked the ball out? Greene got almost no workload in preseason, with the Jets using LT and McKnight as the 1st team backs. Maybe somebody has been hiding sore ribs for fear the opponents would start taking shots at Greene if they knew he was banged up?

Yeah, it's all a conspiracy to make us the first team to appear on Hard Knocks twice.

heh - if he broke his ribs on that play he's going to have serious issues being a RB in this league. The only contact was his momentum hitting his forearm into his teammates back.

I have to admit I also found it strange that Ryan didn't talk to Schotty about why S. Green was out of the game so long... also Ryan needs to start acting like the HEAD COACH and actually make some game time decisions even if they involve the offense.

I'm not saying take things over, but just go and ask whats the deal, why hasn't S. Green gotten a carry in about 2 qtrs?.. Lets get the kid back in there, he is our FEATURED back, the guy who we rode through the playoffs, get that kid back in the game, so he fumbled, big whoop, sh1t happens.

I have an odd feeling HBO and Woody would agree to back to back seasons.

    That would be unprecedented.

    1) Lynn and Schottenheimer were still using preseason rules. If you don't protect the football, you don't get to carry the football. That's all well and good in the preseason. In the regular season, save the discipline for after the game.

    2) Bill Parcells told Rex Ryan at some point last season "you have to be the head coach; you can't just be the defensive coordinator." Very true. If you've got Sean Payton or Tom Moore as your offensive coordinator, go ahead and concede control of half your team to that man.

But Brian Schottenheimer should not have autonomy. Shame on Rex for acting as if.

"I dunno" is not an acceptable response from a head coach when asked why his workhorse running back had been benched. Come on, Rex; Schotty's on your sideline, go find out. Or better yet, walk over to your OC and say "Put Greene in."

    3) Silver lining? Maybe Schotty and Lynn made the right move. I don't know; maybe they sent a message to Greene at the expense of one game that will resonate for the rest of his Jets career. Big maybe.

    I agree with this.

He needs to be much more of an administrator. Something his father never did.

Run the defense, and the whole team.

I have the utmost faith in Rex.
