I thought he was supposed to be good as well, but he did have some serious old injuries and was a bit small for the NFL. "Even though he has been durable, he did have some problems with his knee in 2004. He injured his MCL, and then later in the year tore the ACL in the same knee. Moore also does not have ideal size. He looks to be smaller than his listed size, and that is only average in the NFL. " http://www.footballsfuture.com/2006/prospects/dontrell_moore.html
We already have too many backs on the team. Moore didnt really stand a chance of beating out a couple of those guys.
I think that the coaching staff is doing a "Sign and Release" on a lot of young players to see what they've got and maybe bring them back latter (if somebody gets hurt?) if they feel that they can use their skills. It's basically "You looked good but there are other players that we want to look at. Keep in shape and we'll call you."
Yeh maybe I suppose, from what I had read he was not much of a drop from Washington, they were both ranked right near each other, oh well I guess we will see, right now we already have 1 to many RBs so not a big loss
