Per ESPNBoston.com New England Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss has a message for New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, who over the offseason dubbed Moss a "slouch:" "We're coming to the Meadowlands on Sunday, man, so you got 60 minutes of this 'slouch.'" Moss made the comment on SportsCenter on Tuesday, when asked by anchor Hannah Storm his reaction to the comment by Revis, who categorized Moss as a "slouch" while playing a word association game on the NFL Network during the offseason. "Words don't really hurt me. I guess he's entitled to say what he wants to say," Moss said. "Then again, we're coming to the Meadowlands on Sunday, man, so you got 60 minutes of this 'slouch.' I don't really get into the trash talking, but if what he called me was a 'slouch,' then I guess the 'slouch' will be there to see you on Sunday." The Patriots face the Jets on Sunday afternoon at New Meadowlands Stadium. It was the second time in three days Moss had talked about Revis, the shutdown cornerback known for stranding high-profile receivers on "Revis Island." Revis played well against Moss last season, holding him to nine catches for 58 yards and just one touchdown in two games last season. "There was a lot of talk last year -- and I'm not taking anything from him, he did some good things to be the shutdown corner that he is -- I'm not here to say that I prided my offseason on Revis," Moss said. "But like I said, I take pride in what I do. What he did last year, was something that, he opened my eyes up as a wide receiver. That there's a cornerback out here where I have to be on my 'A' game. I prided my offseason on staying off Revis Island."
I personally think Revis on Welker and the tall long Cro on Moss is the best matchup. Yea Moss will make more catches but as long as we can provent the big play (not saying it's guaranteed with Cro) stopping Welker to me is the priority.
Moss obviously has some need to constantly be in the news. Whether it be talking about his contract immediately after the game or constantly talking about facing Revis. However, he has given Revis a ton of credit as one of the better corners in the league. He's never going to come out and say that Revis is going to shut him down and we know at this point he's not going to keep his mouth shut so I really don't expect anything different.
I saw that interview this morning, was a real nice interview I think the reason Revis called him that was because he kinda dissed him last year. Trying to say that he wasn't that good, because "he had help up top" when he was up against him
