Am I the only one troubled by the fact that Ducasse's play has been so poor that he didn't even dress ? That would seem to indicate that not only is he not as ready as Slauson (who looked pretty terrible), but Slauson's back-up is better than Ducasse. After all we are talking about a Guard. If a Guard can't come in as a back-up as a rookie, you are in serious trouble. This was a relatively high draft pick.

Sitting at the game last night, watching Shotty holding Sanchez on that short a leash, I also had to ask myself this question, if Shotty won't let Sanchez throw when they have 8 guys in the box, are great against the run and on a secondary that was missing Reed and one of their corners, we must be pretty sure that he is an INT machine. Not comforting. This brought me back to the clips we've seen all summer of Cromartie and Wilson looking capable and ready against Sanchez. As we all saw last night, Cromartie and Wilson aren't exactly making Brady wonder what he's going to do on Sunday, so why is it they look great against Sanchez ? Hell, if Revis had held out for one more week he'd be making 20m a year this morning.

Ducasse is not a versatile backup. Hunter and Turner cover the whole line on two roster spots and thats why he will not dress for the time being. You only get 45 on game day and have to make the most of ever spot.

Sanchez needs to be let loose or take it to himself to play QB how he can. If shotty will not give him the green linght, I'm all for him calling an audible and going deep. That offense was way too predictable last ngiht.

    no.

Slauson's backup typically has to be someone who can back up multiple line positions, and maybe chip in on STs. Thats a lot to ask for a Haitian man-child from UMASS. Use your head.

Slauson is not a starting caliber left guard. I can't believe that we're trying the 2007 left guard experiment all over again -- we're going to have similar results... of that, I can promise you. Letting go of Faneca... big mistake.
