henne and the mighty dolphins looked good on offense. 13 mighty pts against the viscous buffalo bills.

I hope he has a lot better game than that. If not... we're in a lot of trouble...

like I said, they've been drilling check down into him so much he isn't looking downfield. This is coachable.

Sometimes young QB's have to take a step back beofre they take 2 forward. It's on REX and Schotty to make the proper adjustment.

You could see the frustration at the end of the game btwn Sanchez and lil schit. schit is a moron. If we had an oc 1/2 as compentant as our dc we would be world beaters.

There is nothing wrong with a checkdown especially when the receiver catches the damn ball. It's better than forcing something downfield and causing a turnover. We lost to a team that we'll probably meet again in the playoffs.

Checkdown means Sanchez doesn't throw to the deeper routes, he checks down. It doesn't mean there aren't players running deep routes.

If the Jets did that, your post would have been:

"Schotty is terrible. This was a close game until he he called that play and Sanchez forced the ball for the INT. A couple of plays and the Jets are in field goal range."

Last year everyone punished Sanchez for pushing the ball down the field. This year everyone is punishing him for checking down. The Jets played a tough game and it was tough going for both teams on both sides of the ball. The Ravens easily have a top 5 defense and other than practice, that will be the toughest defense that Sanchez faces all year.

The Jet receivers dropped easily 4 balls and one BS call on Edwards and the Jets would have had the ball at the Ravens 3 yard line on a fantastic throw and catch by Keller. Even if those WRs catch 2 of the 4 catchable balls, the entire complexion of the game changes. The Jets convert on 3rd down and keep drives going.

This loss is in no way on Sanchez and anyone who believes that wasn't watching the game. He took what the defense gave him - just like any other QB would have done. Unfortunately due to drops and penalties, a couple of big plays didn't happen and that isn't his fault. He gets paid to make the right decision and get the ball to the player and for the most part he did that. Could he have made some other plays? Sure just like every other QB this past weekend wishes they could have had do-overs. There were 10 other guys on offense today, and other that LDT, none of them showed up to make a play.

It doesn't matter how they looked, all that matters is they are 1-0 and we aren't. I could care less how bad they looked because come December all that matters is wins and not how pretty they were. If we somehow would have stolen that game (and I say stole because we did not deserve to win) then this place would have been 180 degrees from what it is now.

Our offense was bs, it wasn't even vanilla. It was beyond vanilla. I don't know what the solution is but this was not a good showing by Sanchez or Schotty. IMO this was a must win game because I don't think we beat the Pats next week so that would put us in big hole already. All my fears about Greene were there, Sanchez looks like he regressed and Schittenheimer is up to his usual self. Way to much cute bullshit without any substance. All that dummy snap snap count bs fucked with the OL and you could tell. What 3 false start penalties and 1 illegal motion. If I'm Rex I give Brian an ultimatum. The training wheels come off this week or your unemployed. What we saw last night out of Brian and Sanchez was inexusable for a team that thinks they are going to win the SB.

There is a happy medium somewhere in between check down in .5 seconds and go downfield every play. This is a passing league, we have a talented first round QB.

Rex, Schotty and Sanchez need to sit down and reprogram Marks thought process after the snap. It seems clear that Schotty went overboard drilling the checkdown into Nacho's head and now that's all he thinks about. You have to go downfield, especially when the refs are just itching to throw that PI flag.

Exactly! Jesus Christ it's time to fish or cut bait with this kid! Either he's ready to be an NFL starter or he's not. I swear they seem to take more risks with Brad Smith at QB!

There's a technique some quarterbacks use called medium range passes.

The sad thing is that nothing will be done to Shotty till at least mid-season. For him to lose his job we are going to have to 0-6. Maybe 2-4. I want the fucker out as badly as anyone but I don't want the season to go down the drain for it to happen. Although if he stays, it could down the drain anyway. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
