Well, right now this is a ball control + defense team. They just want Sanchez not to make mistakes. And Sanchez didn't throw any pics today.

This ball control plan does not work well against the Ravens but throwing the ball with Sanchez would be worst.

You see the damage Greene's fumble caused.

Fewer penalties, fewer drops and the Jets win this game. If we want to play more wide open then we need to get a new QB.

They did their fair share of blitzing. There were receivers who were single-covered on many passing plays, yet the check downs came TOO soon. I am currently watching Phil Rivers play and I see a QB who is not afraid to hold the ball too long, he is as patient as it gets when it comes to getting a receiver open and he IS totally at ease in there. With Sanchez I see nervous, quick read progressions which end up in an "Oh shit!!!!" checkdown. They need to design more passes which roll Mark out, let him use his feet to buy time. He is having trouble with pocket awareness, as you can see by his early checkdowns and happy feet. If you have an athlete like Braylon Edwards in a 1 on 1 matchup with a non-elite cornerback I do not understand why do you not give Braylon a chance to make a big play for you.

I do not see it this way. We did not pick Taco early in the draft and pay him big bucks to be a 'game manager'. That might be his current role, but we need to see something that tells us "this guy is a special qb who is going to take us to the promised land". Against the Ravens we needed to go after their depleted secondary, and we did not. We saw Pennington-esque checkdowns all day, except Chad's were because he could not make some of the throws. These were because Mark was not comfortable, which is a big problem. Then again, the Raven's defense has been known for making Qb's uncomfortable.

Sanchez is playing scared. Overthrew Edwards in the end zone, and Cotchery on a streak. He checked down numerous times instead of letting the play develop. It's Schotty's job to coach Sanchez into being comfortable. So both Schotty and Sanchez failed.

Everything that we did in the off season came back to bite us in the ass. Left guard, Starting RB, and not giving Shotty the pink slip. Thanks Tannenbaum.

We should have had Brad Smith or Mark Brunell at QB and Sanchez calling the plays.

Someone should buy some of those weighted balls that AP was carrying all off season and force #23 to practice with them. I am so upset I refuse to say the bum's name.

I motion to change the thread title to "This is so easy. Schotty, you suck."

And unlike the offense we watched last night, this motion has a purpose.

We aren't gonna go far with an offensive that hits like a wet noodle.

If I had a gun with 2 bullets

Hitler, Bin Laden and Brian Schottenheimer are all in the same room, I'd shoot Brian twice.

I'll see your sorry ass on TV, and CNN reporting that a death penalty upon you is immenent.

Seeing Hitler is dead already, I don't want to waste a bullet.

However, I'll shoot Bin Laden once in the nuts, and second one on his head.

The best use of 2 bullets a man can make. I'll be a national hero.
