I'm sorry but I had to do it but this guy played a great game tonight. He didn't have any sacks but he played the run extremely well and always seemed to be in the backfield. Any doubts we all had about him being a Jet should be erased after tonight. In a game full of downers Taylor was a bright spot. Not to mention the flag that "got picked up" he was in a full nelson or he probably makes another stop in the backfield on Rice.

The whole front 7 played a great game today and Taylor was a huge part of that.

Taylor was great. So was Thomas in his new number actually. Makes me think Pace isn't missed too badly.

What makes the play of the front 7 even better was the fact that Jenkins missed essentially the entire game. I was just surprised how smooth it looked like Taylor was. I expect he'll probably wear down as the season goes on but he looks like he is going to be a huge player in this defense.

I think we held them to like 1.6 yards rushing the ball which is unreal considering they have one of the best backs in the league. If Wilson and Cro Mart can come around teams will not move the ball on this D. That was it, those tow guys killed us with boneheaded plays and just getting beat but I think they weill improve. It's a shame that the play of the front 7 is going to be overshadowed by the offense shitting the bed.

Taylor looked great tonight, the whole front seven did, I cannot believe how well they stepped up even after Big Jenks went out.

front 7 was awesome. we abused their offensive line on run D. rice had less than 2 YPC and had 20+ rushes.

if kyle can shake the rookie blues and cro can stop grabbing people our defense will be even better.

and yes this was without jenks.

i expect kyle wilson to play much better next game. putting him on boldin was so stupid though.

pro bowl WR and best receiver on the team against our rookie CB in his first game. that's on pettine

The front 7 was great tonight. We held Rice to a 2 yard average adn a 7 yard long run. Too bad we game the game away in other areas.

Until Jason Taylor wins the Jets a game, he's still a dildo.

The secondary will take some time to gel. We were down a starter and Revis barely had any time to gain chemistry with Cromartie and Wilson. No one should be worried about the defense if we clean up the penalties.

The Ravens defense had a perfect matchup against our offense. We need the run to set up the pass and the Ravens never give up many yards on the ground. That's no excuse for the complete inability by Schottenheimer to test that Baltimore secondary, though.

Jason Taylor was in the backfield a lot today. At this point, I don't care what his history with the Jets is. He played his ass off for Rex Ryan. For this season, he's a big part of this team that I am rooting for.

Defense was pretty good until third and long situations, but even then I have to hand it to them for playing 60 solid minutes of bend but do not break. They kept us alive the whole time. The amount of energy expended was probably the difference between a game winning pick, but at least we know we could've won it with 3.

So yes, I dare say I can appreciate Jason Taylor.

I'm going back to the bunker. Optimism can begin in the morning.

He played his ass off this game. You can hate him all you want but he put in a shit ton of effort. I hated this signing more than anyone but he's putting his ass on the line for this team. Regardless of what he's done in the past, I can respect him for that much.

The fact that he showed the most heart sickens me to no end. Still, the dude played his ass off. He's wearing green and white. It deserves to be recognized.

Taylor was never a cheap player, he was just a massive asshole. Now he's our asshole, for better or for worse. As of right now, he's trying to make it for the better.
