lol if anyone should be upset, it should be at the offense needing to be spoonfed field position only to manage a pair of field goals
I could swear I saw that running into the kicker call about four times watching games during the preseason. Must be one of those point-of-emphasis calls. The Wilson PI was iffy, but we can thank the Patriots of the early 2000's and Bill Polian for making iffy touching in the secondary a likely call.
Sanchez needs to open it up a bit. Where did all the McKnight haters go? GREENE fumbles as much as anyone!
Penalties are killing them but also the play calling. 3rd and 3 you run option????? Why does he try to get so cute???? Let him go be a HC please!
10 fukin penalties and three legit turnovers? this is our bad no questions asked-we should be ahead by ten we won't score on Baltimore like this and Cromartie looks horrible except for that pick that he should have scored on
Worst looking jet today is Green. Dropped the ball fucking twice while barely getting touched. Luckily one of them went out of bounds. Get mad @ him not the refs. Should of gone into the fucking half 13-0 Not 7-6
Nah you HAVE to be somewhat glad with Sanchez's performance. Against probably the 2nd best defense in the nfl he hasnt turned the ball over once. When the games close you dont wanna make risky play calls Although it is pretty sad hes only completed 1 pass to a WR so far, and his biggest play got called back on a penalty. Shit compared to kyle wilson and Cromartie Sanchez looks like Peyton fucking manning
What a horribly officiated game. One sided as could be. Ticky-tack against one team, while the other was just able to beat up Lowery after the whistle. This is one of the most one-sided officiated games I have ever seen in my life.
About half the PI calls have been correct, but the other half were a result of the Ravens WR initiating contact with our corners beyond 5 yards past the LOS, but nothing was called on them and its always been PIs/holding on our DBs. That's why the officiating sucks
Jets had a drive going there. The flag was inevitable. When the Jets are driving, they get a flag to stop it. When the Ravens are driving, the Jets get a flag to prolong it. Some of the calls are legitimate, but they are letting legitimate calls against Baltimore go, while calling illegitimate penalties on the Jets.
bad calls happen, good teams over come them. i didn't see too many bad calls when you get right down to it. the jets had great field position and did just about nothing with it. you don't win kicking field goals. when we get down inside the red zone and it's forth and one, we need to go for it. it's supposed to be our bread and butter. plus the offense is offensive, all the more reason to go for 6 at every opportunity inside the red zone. all and all, the jets looked like crap!!!!!!!
I dunno if it's been posted, but I found this in a random google search. Happens to be from a Ravens' blog published two days ago: weblogs.baltimoresun. com/sports/ravens/blog/2010/09/watch_out_for_pass_interference_penalties.html (can't post links, remove space before com)
Yup, I remember reading that before the game and being concerned about it. Lets hope we get a more lienent group next week.
Many penalties and definitely very unfortunate ones. However we didn't have any business being on the field expecting a victory when you bring only the defense and special teams on the plane.
