I've tried my best to watch the pre-season games, Hard Knocks as well, but can't recall having ever seen this guy on the field. Since he's one of a very small number of backups on the OL, he must have shown something to someone at some point. Perhaps some of you can shed a little light. 6'5, 310 lbs, 1st year player coming from Central Florida.

I think he was claimed as a developmental right tackle prospect. As of right now, he's being groomed behind Damien Woody. I found some pretty good info on Brown a few days ago: - started 50 consecutive games at left tackle for Central Florida, which means he was a big part of Kevin Smith's 2,000 yard season. (most consecutive starts in the nation) - signed with the Carolina Panthers as a UDFA. He's spent time on the New England and Minnesota practice squads. - Brad Childress really wanted Patrick Brown back. Many thought he'd make their 53 man roster.
I thought someone said when he was picked up that he was able to play multiple positions along the line. I'd hate to see him be here if he's too raw and developmental. That would mean two inactive roster spots for guys who can't contribute but may have a future at RT, plus the one for Senor Fumblitis.
Was soon as I saw UCF I got pretty excited knowing he was blocking for Kevin Smith. Though id be far more excited if we were able to sneak Kevin Smith away, especially with his future in Detroit being incredibly murky at best.
