Do you guys think the rookie Mangold will beat out the 8th year veteran Trey Teague in training camp? or do you think Teague will perform better than mangold and teague will play for most of the season or do you guys think mangold will play for most of the season?
I like mangold as well but today i was at barnes and noble and they have they new issue for pro football 06 preview and they predicted the jets would go 4-12 and that teague would start over mangold but i think the got it all wrong. because last years issue had the jets going 9-7.
How does a simple question like this get all these votes so fast, but a good question on Greg Ellis has 2?
I think Teague may start the season as the starter but Mangold will have the most starts by the end of the year.
Teague. Mangold is only a rookie..... I like Mangold, and he should be a very solid C for years to come, I just don't know if he's ready to start as a rookie. Teague has experience, and would be the safer choice in my opinion.....
That would be fine and dandy for me if we were contending for a playoff spot. Since it's very doubtful I say stick Mangold in and let him get some experience under his belt. The faster he learns the system the better.
We didn't draft a center in the first round so that he can ride the bench. Maybe Teague starts at the beginning of the season, but by Week 4, it'll be Mangold.
I agree with Bricket- Head. Let this guy learn in as many games as he can play in and let this offensive line Jell.
Because it is a pretty simple question. Kevin left and we needed a center. We drafted a center. THE center. !st rd pick on a 4-14 team needs to start ASAP.
Center is a tough postition to play in the NFL. However, i still think Mangold will start from the beginning, but Kendall will probably be calling the plays for most of the season.
Greg. Ellis. Is. Not. A. 3-4. Defensive. End. It. Got. No. Replies. Because. Me. And. Suppaman. Cleared. That. Up. Read the posts, it's actually a terrible question. He is a situational player in Dallas and he only plays in 4-2 or 4-1 Nickel and Dime packages. He never plays down in a 3-4 set.
