It was only a matter of time. He must be feeling left out of all the love going around and guys getting contracts. Just in time to have a melt down for the season. How convenient.

On one hand he's frustrated, on the other hand he's in a contract year. Who knows which Randy you'll get this year.

Exactly. Whether or not the Pats offer him anything, he has enough motivation to go out and play for at least himself, if not the team. He will still produce good numbers regardless of what the Pats decide to do. Actually, I would think having no offer from the Pats should motivate him to be even better this season to market himself to other teams and to show what the Pats are going to be missing out on.

It will be hilarious if he goes to another team at the end of this season, because the Pats offense will completely suck without him if he is not there next year. Welker is good but only because Moss is on the field with him. Their running game is awful and Brady is not the same anymore. Without Moss, what the hell kind of product will they be able to put on the field? They will be a joke and I will love it.

Randy Moss in a contract year is a scary proposition.

Not likely. If anything he's going to want to prove he deserves the big dough still. A half-assed season would just prove the Pats right for not giving him an extension.

If it were anyone else I would assume exactly that. If it were any other organization. But it's Randy Moss and the Patriots. Its 50/50 in my mind whether this gets handled or bungled. We'll see if he exercises any of that wisdom he talked about.

I agree. He'll play like a monster for the Pats this year to get that last payday.

    Moss has a problem.

With Brady also looking for new money, he's going to want that completion percentage up.

Welker will probably have 300 targets this season.

Lol what a terrible off-season for the Pats. Between losing Warren and Bodden, and having Mankins sit out, that team is starved for depth. The dynasty-era Patriots they are not.

Moss' comments reveal he is already sulking, and he has never shown the emotional maturity to perform at a top level when sulking. hardly a scary proposition except for the Pats.

That's true. Everyone knows those fat extensions hinge on completion percentage.

Well, they don't hinge on throwing INT's, or to WR's stuck out on Revis Island.

you know what is totally worthless in working out an extension? being the unquestioned leader and best player on your team. completion percentage is what brings home the bacon.

    Possibly, but...

It's not like the Patriots have been racking up titles since Moss came to town. I'm actually wondering if they'd be better off with the relatively unknown, unheralded guys they won championships with. Brady tends to get locked onto Moss at times, when back in the day he'd spread the ball around a lot more than he does now.

Not being unrealistic here... I realize Moss is a HOF talent, and normally you don't make your team better by losing a HOF talent. I'm just wondering if anyone with the Patriots has noticed the same thing.

Idefinitely agree that Brady forces throws to both Moss and Welker, where he never did that earlier. I'm hoping Gronk, Hernandez, Tate, and Edelman added to Faulk will get him back to just hitting the open guy more.
