CB2 is right below a pass rushing OLB as our biggest need heading into the offseason. I still find it amazing that Coleman is able to get on the field. Him and Lowery were the biggest culprits in yesterdays defeat. That bomb to Collie at the end of the first half was the biggest play of the game, if Coleman was an inch taller or timed his jump right it would have been picked off. The game is completely different if we get to the half 17-6.
He did have decent coverage and it was a perfect throw but he did not play the ball well at all. He jumped too early, if he was an inch or so taller he would have been able to get away with it and still probably picked it.
Been there, done that. Useless piece of crap! He needs to go. Please don't defend him (ghost) Alio. Its not worth it and you'll get crucified for defending him the next couple of days.
Or better yet, had Revis cover on that play, intercept Manning, and Jets drive for a last second TD to make it a 24-6 game.
If he'd gone with one hand to get the PD , its incomplete. But because he tried to catch it with both his overall height was lower. Trying to hard?
So what EXACTLY is Gohlston's problem? Is he caught out of position? Cant shed blocks? Poor closing ability? Cant wrap and finish off ball carriers? If someone can give me specifics about his defensive liabilities I would really appreciate it.
For the price he's OK. Sure got victimized on a perfectly thrown ball, which he actually had pretty decent coverage on. A mis-timed leap from being a hero. The safety with over the top help was there 1 sec late. Didn't look hard on the replay-- was that Rhodes. One thing for sure, with Strickland injured we are only mediocre on the side opposite Revis.
so I've realized that cornerback Brian Jackson was waived today to make room for T-Rich. But why not waive Drew coleman instead?
