I can't wait to read their boards and listen to the press conferences during the season. This is gonna be great.
During the Chiefs game last year, supposedly Vilma got pissed at Reed who in turn punched him in the eye..... Quote from Newsday "Vilma didn't discuss the incident yesterday, but had a swollen left eye. ''It was a misunderstanding,'' Reed said. ''It's football. A lot of guys get into arguments. It's in the past. I don't hold grudges.'' Yeah, the guy who lands the punch usually doesn't."
James Reed = Bitch Dont get mad at Vilma just cause u dont know what to do. Vilma should have got him back smh.
Hey champ..part of our bet...you told me that James Reed would never play for another NFL team..part of your mantra that the Jets had several players (I believe Hobson, Barrett, Barton were 3 more) that would never be picked up by other teams. Only because Herm was the one that picked him up will I allow you a mulligan. Just consider that we are now even.
That's pretty funny, fellas. It could be that Jaywayne and Champs both turned out correct on at least Reed so far. Reed gets picked up by Herm: priceless!
Guys, Reed can't be as bad as you all say. It's not his fault that he was playing out of position at nose tackle. Also, he isn't all that small compared to some of the leagues DT's. Before this year Corey Simon was listed at about 290 pounds. Tommie Harris is barely 300 pounds. Alot of cover 2 teams use the smaller DT's because they are better pass rushers. If he can be allowed to play as an under tackle and rush the passer he will do alot better in KC than he did last year.
Why not? Mind you he was a 7th rounder who really didn't show much here. And we'd pretty much wonder why he was kept around year in and year out. The only reason why he was brought back last year was because we unexpectedly lost Ferguson and couldn't find a suitable replacement. He was twisting in the wind for half of the offseason, much like this year until he was re-signed. Why do you think he went until now to be picked up by anyone, and that was his former coach, probably the only guy in the league who sees anything in him? And LOL at comparing him to Corey Simon. Yes Simon is also a smaller DT. But Simon has a few things Reed does not. Quickness, moves, strength, a good first step. Simon and Tommie Harris are also 6'2" & 6'3" respectively. Reed is 5'11". That makes a huge difference when you're going up against linemen who are 6'3" - 6'5".
