This was the best episode yet...Rex's speech towards the middle of tonight was even better than the motivational one at the beginning of the series. He's definitely no Herm, he can be a buddy but he can be a kickass mo'fo when he needs to. Loved Rex dissing the guy on the Skins...'that's why my brother dumped your ass'. The Coles and Clemens discussions were pretty revealing too. I had no idea Coles or T-Rich had anything to do with each other since they played different positions but I guess we could only keep so many non-minimum vets around. I'm pretty worried about left guard after watching that, neither one of them looked all that good. Heh yeah that part too. Although it doesn't seem like any progress really has been made just from that little snippet.
Aw, come on, Puck. I thought he showed some pocket presence when he asked "what if I say 'No?'" Sometimes, you just have to take the sack.
Oh and someone tell Jason Taylor if he's going to get a few hundred thousand dollar Maseradi the dude needs a new GPS to go along with it
My favorite part of the show was the O'Connell cutting. Every cut done by Tanny has been nice. "We want you to get a chance somewhere else. You played great, but not enough space on the Jets. Good luck with your future." But with O'Connell it was like: "You didn't play very good. Kellen has outplayed you. We brought you here to be a long term #2 but you suck. We have way more confidence in Kellen. Okay see ya."
My favorite part of the show was when Rex Ryan said "I am not a good leader." Fascinating. I don't think Rex Ryan thinks Rex Ryan isn't a good leader. I think Rex Ryan thinks that a good leader says "I am not a good leader," and I'm inclined to believe he's right. Whether you're managing a 7-11 or coaching a pro football team, the goal is the get your employees to step up and go ABCD. (Above and Beyond the Call of Duty). I think humility is Rex's ABCD-key.
I get the feeling that since Sanchez made it to the AFCCG last year he is thinking its going to be much easier to do so with the team we have now this year when he is sadly mistaken. Hard Knocks is great but its making me second guess this team. Nobody is responding to anything that the coaches are expressing. 16 points, 9 points and 11 points for the offense is dreadful. Im not gonna get really concerned until week 3 of the season and if our point totals look like that, we have problems. BTW ducausse is miserable.
If we score 10 and allow 9 I am fine with that any week. Also, they have never played a full game as a unit, plus its preseason.
Does anybody know where I can find a website where I could watch it online? I just got home and don't have HBO. I have been looking for a link on google since I got home.
