Is it me or are people making too much of the Jets and their "big talk". Yes, Rex is more prone to speak his mind and doesn't bullshit you with coachspeak, but aside from that are the Jets really any different than any other team? Who doesn't say in August that the Super Bowl is their goal? What team reaches the conference championship and doesn't go into the next year thinking and saying they want/plan to take the next step? I see Hard Knocks mentioned in tandem with the Jets "big talking" and I don't get that either. HBO approached the Jets, not the other way around, other teams have done it and I don't remember the backlash. Maybe I'm just looking at it as a Jet fan, but I don't see/hear the Jets making any outlandish statements or predictions that they are being taken to task for.
You almost have to put a * next to anyone who coached the Bengals between Wyche and Lewis. Getting to 8-8 with that organization would have been cause for a parade.

You are making it seem like you think LeBeau is significantly better as a defensive coordinator like, I don't know, the difference between Joe Montana and Phil Simms or something. LeBeau worked under Capers with the Steelers at one time. They coach the same scheme. Both have had success as defensive coordinators. You want me to say LeBeau is better? Fine, I'll go with LeBeau and be done with it. Even if I cracked some numbers and found for Capers, his edge over LeBeau would have been negligible anyway.

You can have the guy who has never led a D to a SB and I'll take the guy who has been part of a ton of SB staffs and has won SBs. It wouldn't be Simms-Montana as Simms has actually won a SB. It would be more like Big Ben vs. Jay Cutler.
