QB: Tony Romo, Jason Campbell RB: MJD, Darren Sproles, Ahmad Bradshaw, Kevin Smith WR: Maques Coltson, Braylon Edwards, Chris Chambers, Nate Burleson, Michael Jenkins TE: Jason Witten, Todd Heap K: Rob Bironas Defense: Jets This is NOT a keeper league...There are about 13 teams in the league
looks like a solid team, Turk. MJD and Bradshaw will produce in PPR leagues....Witten is money.....Bironas is a perennial member of my fantasy football teams.....and you can't go wrong with Rex's defense. I give it an 8.5/10. not sure who "Maques Coltson" is though.
I would not be very comfortable with this team myself. You have a good top player at every position, but no depth at all. If Jones Drew or Colston get injured you are finished. Even a healthy Colston is a question mark with how many other weapons there are on the Saints offense. I'm guess Romo was your 3rd round pick and Witten your 4th. I would have went with another RB or WR instead of Romo at the beginning of the 3rd... Witten at the end of the 4th is risky as well considering all of Dallas' weapons and how poor or a season he had last year. Considering you have the best Kicker and Defense I imagine you took them pretty early, which hurt your depth at RB and WR. I almost never take a K/Def until the last 2-3 rounds. Bradshaw could end up being a solid #2 RB, but I have little confidence in Sproles providing much for you. Edwards is an awful WR #2. The Jets offense hasn't shown us much, and even if they do turn it on there are just too many other options for Edwards to provide much fantasy wise. If Romo, MJD, Colston, and Witten all have career years your team could do pretty well... otherwise you might be in some trouble. 5/10
are you nuts? it's a 13-team league.....he drafted well for having that many participants. The "what if" argument regarding injuries is a weak one.....anybody can get injured at anytime.....and having depth in a 13 team league.....is a tall mountain to climb.
I obviously disagree. I've done plenty of mock drafts with 14 teams so I know what players will usually be available in what spots. Considering he drafted MJD I'm assuming he had the 3rd or 4th pick. Outside of the MJD pick (who I have ranked 2nd after CJ), I personally don't think I would have drafted any of the players he took in the spots where he probably got them. We must just value those particular players different. Injuries definitely matter in fantasy football draft strategy, hence why having depth at RB is usually pretty important. If MJD gets injured I personally think he has no chance because of his lack of depth at the position.
I'm not a big fan of Romo, he's hit and miss. Is it PPR? If it is, you'll be in the top, if not, it's middle of the road, imo...
hmmm...Ahmad Bradshaw and Kevin Smith are both starters this year....pretty sure the depth at RB is there. of course injuries are important....but you can't draft in fear of injuries happening.....this is football, dude. People are going to get hurt.
