    Just saw on NFL Live from this afternoon. Is Derrick Brooks a 1st ballot HOF'er?

    I don't see him going first ballot. He'll make it but I think it'll take a couple of tries.

    Depends who is in the waiting with him. He'll make it though.

    This is just like the Curtis Martin 1st ballot question. Will he make the HoF? Yes. First ballot... Depends on who's on the ballot.

    You'd think a ring, DPOY, 6x 1st team All Pro, and 1000+ tackles would get an OLB first ballot recognition. You can't do much more in a career at OLB than he did.

    I agree with the general consensus though, it'll depend on who else is eligable.

    I love Derrick Brooks. I love that 2002 SB team, and I want to see him in as fast as possible.

    I just don't trust the voters. You never know what they'll do in 5 years.

    I agree with you. I can't see a reason why he isn't a 1st ballot selection.

    You don't think he will be a first ballot HOFer? I think he is a lock for it. One of the best Linebackers to play the game. Smart and talented, who knows though the voters can be a little iffy sometimes.

    He seems to have a likable image and a face people recognize from TV... I think he's in. Maybe not 1st ballot but he should be in within 2 or 3 years of being eligable.
