like roger clemens i think jenkins is a time bombs tho. anything can happen at any time. he could make it thru the year unscathed or go down on play number one. scary. yeah, a replacement should be the jets top priority after getting the three contracts out of the way. need a big man in there to occupy the ol.
Remember that Pouha was drafted at 26 or 28 or something cause of his 3 year missionary stunt. So he has a LOT LESS wear and tear on him. However, Byz is right, he wasn't double teamed a lot when in on a rotational basis so we still need a Jenks type NT.
Actually, before I heard of his retiring talks, I was almost sure this was gonna be Jenkins last year on the team. CBA willing, we're gonna have to hit the FA market next year AND Draft to completely rebuild our DL. I expect(ed) Jenkins to be gone next year, as well as Ellis and Gholston. After that, we have nothing but decent role players/rotational guys so I don't think it's going to be surprising seeing us go DL-heavy next year.
