Are you sure he understands what's going on around him? Maybe he's a high functioning autistic. Almost like Temple Grandin- I an see a resemblance. lol
Eli is definitely not a media darling, and doesn't have the flair that his brother does, or other marquee quarterbacks. You'll see die hard fans wearing his jersey, but no one's buying a ticket to watch him play. Basically, he's boring.
So what? Not every move we make has to be praised as genius. ESPN ranked us #7 in their pre-camp power rankings. Not good enough for ya? Also, most "analysts" are fucking stupid as hell. So be sure to pinpoint exactly who says what about the team, and take it with a grain of salt. Overall, this offseason has been a massive green-koolaid drinking contest from most media outlets. I think we were just ranked #1 overall by Sporting News' preseason rankings or some shit.
Take him to the zoo. I heard retards like the zoo. ESPN sucks, has for a long long time. The worst part about business travel is being stuck in a hotel where my only access to sports on TV is ESPN, after years of generally being able to avoid it. I catch up on months of LeBron James and NASCAR news in a two-day trip.
I think we proved a lot last year, and we only got better. Our QB will be better. Like I said, they acknowledge our talent so they have to rate us highly, but there is always a BUT in every statement made about us. Look at the Cowboys, they FINALLY won their first playoff game in ages, so now Tony Romo is an elite QB who knows how to win and yada yada yada. But the Jets haven't proven squat, it was a magical fluky run, and it won't happen again. That's what I believe ESPN thinks. But then again ESPN is full of know-nothing tools, so I guess I see what you are getting at
I just realized how much espn sucked when I just wasted 5 minutes of my life watching First Take, where Erik Kusilias and somebody else were debating on a nickname for Shaq and the Celtics ... "Jolly Green Giant" "no no, how bout the Green Monstah" "na that doesn't work, what about Shrek ... Shrek is green" are ... you ... serious
ESPN is one step above MTV. It's true. At least they still show sports. Otherwise, they're not far off. I guess reporting sports 24 hours a day doesn't get good enough ratings?
Funny you should write that because when Dan Patrick and SportsCenter appeared in a Hootie & The Blowfish video is around the time when ESPN began to suck.
 How about he who only plays 27 games a year and will destroy any chemistry they had? They act like this is Shaq of 2000......
The NBA may have jumped the shark as far as I'm concerned. I don't know if I want to bother with it anymore. You know there are only five teams that could possibly win the 2011 NBA Finals and I'm not really all that sure about three of them.
seriously! it's horrible! this is a guy that will average 8 points a game and not even play half a season! yet i have to listen to people get all giddy about the celtics? why does coming up with a nickname even have its own topic on 1st and 10 anyway?!?!?!?! isn't there actually enough news to talk about?
Incidently, The "Only Wanna Be With You" video came out in 1995. Disney bought ESPN in 1995 :breakdance:.
I think the problem with ESPN is that people take the information from the network and do not analyze it at all. People I talk to will take the opinion of Skip Bayless or Colin Cowherd and not their own. I tell people that if I want to know the opinion of Skip Bayless, then I will watch First and Ten. Every magazine I have looked at has the Jets as favorites to meet Dallas in the Super Bowl. ESPN wise, I haven't seen too much coverage of the Jets in a while. They pick up coverage of teams with the most interesting/dramatic stories. If T.O. played for the Jets. That is all we would hear about till Seasons end. :jets:
When you have as much success in your sport as Shaq and Brett Favre. Then I guess you have earned the right to have your own segment on 1st and 10. I am not a Shaq fan at all. lol.
