So, the Revis debacle is center stage...So what are everybody's thoughts on Kyle Wilson, yeah he 's a rookie, but so was Revis.... can he step up, is there only one Revis worthy of our praise, I say if the shit continues, than Rex and his scouting team had the foresight to think this kid was special, so lets get on his bandwagon and support the shit out of him and if Revis wants to watch him play than let the cards fall where they may...... Fuck the non team player/support the new kid who's enthusiastic .....

To expect a repeat of Revis' rookie season would be setting yourself up for disappointment. He may very well be the best corner prospect to come out of this draft but we can't expect him to beat the world from day one. We could not have expected the same thing from Revis day one either.

That's what I fear. Wilson has a great rookie season, but one or two burns will have morons saying he's a total bust.

The solution for this year with the revis situation should not be Wilson. I just don't think it is fair to expect him to preform to that level yet. Maybe we found a diamond in Wilson but we should expect his to have a few bumps this year.

Wilson would be starting on 28 other teams and he will be solid as a rookie. The only worry is all the balls that will be thrown his way. He will be tested often and Cromartie will have a good year opposite him.

If Revis isn't out there, it gives Wilson more 1st team reps, we need him ready to go, especially since I anticipate him guarding Wes Welker in week 2 of the season.

this might be great for Wilson, the revis holdout i mean. Now he is going against edwards/holmes everyday on the outside, and once revis shows up (9 days from now I expect) he will go back to perfecting the slot. Kids gonna be filthy good this year.

He will get beat occasionally, but for the most part, he should beast on the #3 receivers of our opponents. Can't wait to see him in action in 2010

I expect to see Wilson in some blitz packages this year, he was used there at BSU, I bet he'll have more sacks then the Ghost this year.

Revis' holdout directly benefits Wilson's development.

    Lowery's too.

Having a mentor in training camp is certainly a valuable asset, but there's no substitute for practice, practice, practice. While neither guy will have Revis to learn from, both will have a shit-ton more field time. (Cro would have had a bunch anyway; Lowery and Wilson would have split time in nickel situations; now, they'll be splitting time in the base package).

I think you guys are hyping Wilson up for failure. I think he'll probably be an elite corner in a year or two but he needs time to develope. We're gonna get Revis under contract but I assume his agent is advising him to throw a temper tantrum.

Lowery is getting bumped to FS. His development as a corner is over.

I love the fact that Revis said he was going to mentor Kyle and blah blah blah.

I'm just glad we have Rex and Thurman to coach him.

lol talk about hyping him up ...

i think the kid will be a great addition to your team, but unlike our rookie cb's last year, you guys have the awesome luxury of putting him in a reduced role until he gets his feet wet.

Vontae and Smith took their fair share of roastings last year, but I'm really excited about their future, particularly Vontae.

With Wilson getting to go against Holmes and Edwards, and Davis going against Marshall and Bess in camp, both guys should benefit from practicing against some great receivers

^ Granted, but Wilson is the better prospect coming out of college. He'll still take his lumps.

When you guys got those two, I wasn't happy that day. I wanted Smith on this team, because his versatility could do wonders in Rex's system.
