I want this guy to be our head coach for a long time.

Now I can't wait for people to start complaining about the Jets extending Rex and not Revis.

a part of me actually laughs at this, but i guess its deserved.

We all know he isn't going anywhere for a long time, even if he has a down year.

Wow they must really think he can be the guy. I mean don't get me wrong I love Rex and he's done everything perfect so far, but I need to see another playoff year for me to be convinced he is a GREAT coach.

Rex is going to put Belichick under his right tit and Sparano under his left tit. And Chan Gailey under his nut sack.

Good to see Rex won't be holding out

No seriously though what was his original deal? 3 years?

Maybe Woody we'll just give him 2 years for every year he wins til he doesn't.

And you know, I think its the right guy too. Our last run of coaches were mercenaries. Not that that isn't the way it is with every team, but Rex grew up in the organization. He was a Jets fan as a kid, he was even a ballboy, right? The last coach we had with long ties to the team was Kotite...which is a horrible example, of course...but it does feel like, at least to me, that he was one of us before he got the job. A fan, somebody who cared and still does about the team, not just himself. Even without the success so far, I would still be happy with this extension.

    Rex Appeal!

In other news, the Ravens just lost their starting CB Foxworth for the year with a torn ACL.

One less thing we have to worry about during Week #1.

I always like Foxworth, but not as a #1 CB. As a #2 he's damn good.

The Ravens don't have much in terms of a secondary at this point, with all the injuries they've sustained this off-season.

If the Jets protect Sanchez against that nasty front 7, he could have a good day throwing the ball.

who ran over and posted on their wall? i still think its funny that pats fans think they did better than AFC runner ups. They never seem to show respect for the other teams in the conference when they are good.

Put em in their place Rex... LESSS GOOO

Rex threatened to hold out of training camp. Tanny had no option but to extend his contract.
