Played beta. It's a frickload harder than broodwar. And they took damn lurkers out of the game. Probably get my copy today.
I'm thinking about getting SC2 since I'm a recovering WoW addict and need some new game other than CoD to occupy my time. Seeing as I haven't played an RTS seriuosly since Command and Conquer: Red Alert, I'm a bit worried that I'll just get owned every game. I only played SC1 on N64...... I know, pathetic. Never played the campaign, but I would definately play through single player in this one.
How are you guys enjoying the game? I want to get it, but on my school laptop I was frustrated with how slow empire: total war ran and sometimes spore was slow too.

Just got it and it rocks, but my laptop can barely handle it even on the lowest settings. How much would I have to spend if I wanted to get a decent desktop PC that could handle it on high settings? Doesn't have to be too fancy and I'd rather not spend more than $600.
I have to say it. This is the best, most refined RTS I have ever played. There hasn't been one I've really gotten into since World in Conflict a few years ago but this just blows it out of the water. My life for Aiur!
^^ THIS ^^ If you build it... .... you will cum This game is just ridiculous....I still have the Original and started playing it again a few months ago because the release date was finally here after getting pushed back not months but years. The Cinematic w/Kerrigan is quite possibly one of the greatest single cinematic moments in gaming history... I've watched it several times and it's just so well done.
How do you re-watch the cinematics without redoing the missions? My son loved the Kerrigan cutscene and wanted to see it again, but i really didn't want to re-do the mission if I didn't have to. OK you caught me, i loved it too. Made my 24 inch widescreen worth the purchase right then and there. Even the cutscene with (I think it was Arturus) was fricking fantastical. SC2 = way better than I expected. Haven't even hit multiplayer yet.
Same here, I haven't even touched Multi...then again, I'll get asswiped if I did..lol. On the Bridge behind/above the starmap, to the left of the communicator by the window there is a console called mission archives. Once you access it, it has all the missions and cutscenes.
Question, I'm probably going to get the game but do I need to play Brood Wars to get the story second one? I mean I have beaten the original and buying the combo pack is only 20 bucks, but if I dont have to get it I would prefer not to
Holy Shit - there are a lot of SC players here on TGG. Def need to add you guys to my friends list. Been a fan of SC since 98. The new game is sick. I'm not so much into the Campaign as the online RTS. there are a lot of people better than me on SC2 but when I play with people equal to me I kick the shit out of them. 20 Warp Rays and a Mother Ship cannot be stopped.
