I agree with Electic for the most part. I think that saying Oakland wins the division is a little over the top but I can see them getting to .500 and 2nd in the West. Tom Cable is the only coach on that team since Gruden to somewhat have a shot at making them a contender. Tom Cable is a take no shit type of coach which is what that team needs. The defense has been underrated for awhile and they had a great off-season so I expect them to be solid.
I definitely see the Jets, and Bengals not making it. I think the raiders, and texans will be in the playoffs instead ..
It may be the Patriots. Who is the Patriots Defensive and Offensive coordinator anyway? That's right...nobody. Moss is getting old.
I cant wait til Tom Brady, and Bill Billicheck are gone. You will remember what it feels like to be a real Patriots fans again. Pats fan since 2001! C!
AFC take out the Bengals. Put in the Texans. Take out cardinals and Eagles in the NFC. Put in Redskins and 49ers
AFC: Out - Bengals and Patriots In - Oakland and Dolphins (Ashamed to say but i think they make the 6th seed) NFC: Out - Cardinals and Eagles In - 49ers and Falcons
just cuz he's been on the board since then means thats how long he's been a fan? wow. in that case ive only been a fan since 04! this sucks
that's exactly my point there Sanchize ... He has no clue whatsover about me, nor do I of him ... See what I did there?
no that means when i registered on this online board. sorry didnt know i had to register on this message board when i became a jets fan.
Wow thank god no one can say im not a legit fan. I signed up on this board in September 09. Before the Jets dominance began.
He's 9-19 with one of the worst quarterbacks in the history of this game as his starter. I'd like to see what he can do with some talent. With lackluster talent all over that roster, Cable's always had a successful running game, offensive line, and defense while he's been in Oakland. Also, bringing up college stats is irrelevant. He coached at Idaho. No one wins at Idaho. Winners like Spurrier and Carroll had horrible careers as HCs in the NFL. For the record, I don't think he's the answer in Oakland, but he hasn't had much to work with until now. If his running backs stay healthy and Jason Campbell protects the football, they'll win quite a few games.
I only brought up his college record to point out that he's literally never been successful as a Head Coach on any level. And Dennis Erickson and Robb Akey win at Idaho, for the record. You can make excuses all you want, but at the end of the day the NFL is about results. Cable hasn't delivered them. Plus, he's hurt the team's already damaged image with all of his off the field nonsense.
Yeah, back when Idaho was a I-AA school. How? It got the team negative press, but in the end, officials found that Cable didn't do anything wrong. I'm not making excuses. No coach in this league could win with JaMarcus Russell as his quarterback. That's not an excuse, that's a fact.
