Monday Night Miracle on NFL Network now. Just a heads up for anyone else that might be bored right now. Its starting right now.
I was there too and stayed for the whole game. My brother sold his tickets (next to mine) to a Dolphins fan friend of his, who made me miserable for most of the game. Ahh, revenge was sweet that night!! :finssuck: I remember calling my boyfriend of two weeks (now husband) at halftime and telling him I was planning on leaving either during or after the third quarter. When he woke up the next morning and heard what happened, he hoped I hadn't left. Pretty decent guy, even if he is a Pats fan. :smile:
Awesome stories. I had a small football party at Pizza Hut in California for that game. I was the only Jets fan and it was pretty embarassing. I ate my pizza during the game and at halftime heard Schwarzenegger proclaim the Jets would come back and win. Then I gave up and drove home at the start of the 3rd quarter. When I got home just out of curiosity I turned on the t.v. and started watching. LOL holy hell... we came back and won and I saw it!
In work that day, a Dolphins fan predicted a 37-7 Dolphins win. I thought that was simply ridiculous and then the score was 30-7 at one point. I couldn't believe it! Then, of course, it all changed to the good.

2000 aka The Gay Year of Monday Night Football Exhibit A- "FINS" Exhibit B- "PACK" Instead of using the normal "MIA" and "GB" to signify the Dolphins and Packers on the score panel in the top corner, they used those gay FINS and PACK words. Also, I think they went gay with Dallas too. I think they used BOYS with them. For what it's worth, I actually liked Miller on MNF. My favorite line ever uttered on a sports telecast was delivered by Miller during the Broncos-Rams game in Week 1 of that season. "Schlereth's been scoped more often than a redneck abducted by aliens." It was arguably the best season ever for MNF as far as the quality of games was concerned. There were only a few duds that year. These were the good games- Rams 41, Broncos 36 Jets 20, Patriots 19 Cowboys 27, Redskins 21 Chiefs 24, Seahawks 17 Vikings 30, Buccaneers 23 Jets 40, Dolphins 37 Titans 27, Redskins 21 Packers 26, Vikings 20 Broncos 27, Raiders 24 Patriots 30, Chiefs 24 (LOL at Elvis Grbac) Buccaneers 38, Rams 35
