Loved having him on the team...hated how he left.

Hope he makes it past 50...

The article stated he played 13 seasons. He only played 12. He missed the entire 2001 season due to injury.

That's what you have to add?!

AFA CBA, he played 13, so you've really added nothing to the conversation.

    Seriously?

You'd rather I had written something bland like, "He was a good player."

I have no care for his pension.
He played 12 seasons. Not 13. Thank you for your concern.

It'd be great if the Randy Starks @ NT experiment failed for Miami, leaving them with no competent NTs.

I don't really know much about Ferguson but now that he's gone, Miami's D practically depends on the sucess of either Randy Starks or Paul Soliai at NT. Pretty much the worst position in a 3-4 defense to have concerns about.

I'm not surprised that he's retiring, he's was facing an 8 game suspension, and he's also old as dirt. I only wish he had made his decision sooner. It was kind of a cop-out on his part in my opinion...

If I remember correctly, wasn't Ferguson the only reason that "Can't Nobody Block Me" looked good for one season?

One of the best Pro Football Career epitaphs to have.

Pretty good for a 7th round pick

Even before this, our D was already depending upon Starks or Soliai because Ferg was suspended for 8 games.

I am a bit worried to be honest. Starks is a fine defensive end and played at a pro bowl level last year. Hopefully Odrick, Langford, and Merling can fill in for him.

Odrick is going to claim a spot on the end so don't worry. The kid is a beast.

This is the same type of move that Dallas, the last parcells team, did in the 3-4. A nose that can be stout against the run but has some ability to penetrate on the pass rush. If it works out again your defense will get a whole lot better quickly.
