As a betting man, who likes to think he knows his stuff but probably doesn't, I would bet on the under on the Jets at the moment as the line is too high at 10-11 wins in my opinion seeing our schedule etc. However as a mad jet fan I will be blindly investing in AFCE , AFC and Superbowl success for the Jets!!
Faneca was one of the reasons Jets were so good running right. He was an excellent pulling guard (just like Kendall was) That aside, Faneca gone simply means Jets won't be pulling LG to the right - not as often as they did with Faneca, if at all. Will that hurt the production? Let's see - was LG pull the ONLY run option Jets had last year? I didn't think so. It's just one of those options. As the quoted portion says, running straignt behind Faneca wasn't all that effective anyway. It's not even like Jets are replacing Faneca with a road pylon that is Adrian Clarke either. All in all, the run production will be just fine. If anything, Thomas "First-touch-and-downed" Jones is gone. That alone should boost the productions!
Cro is Defenetly going over 5 picks. He is going to be playing a lot of man which he is most comfortable w. And yes our D dares the qb to throw at Revis but I think this year they will be dared to throw Cro's way just as much. Look for him to be the biggest addition from this offseason.
Sanchez: 21 TDS 13 INTS We will be throwing more, but I am hoping that his INT's drop significantly as his decision making should improve from last year. Tomlinson: 800 yds 8 TDS Although Greene will be the primary back, I see LT getting opportunities in the red zone throughout the year. I think LT can average 50yds a game with our very good O-line Cromartie: 11 INTS Yes, this defense is expected to create a lot of turnovers this year. If teams try to stay away from Revis, a healthy Cromartie should get his share of picks. I can see him having multi INT games in two or three games this year.
Playing devils advocate here because nobody knows how the season will turn out. So Sanchez who had an AWFUL TD to INT ratio and played like crap for the majority of last season in a LIMITED role and easy to manage offense is going to have a complete 360 and double his TD to INT ratio??? LOL can you atleast show a little realism. He threw all those interceptions last year with a great running game and great defense. Whats going to happen if Sanchez has to win some games with his arm? because the running game very well may not be up to par last year.
I'd go over and under, too, but I'm not expecting a huge year. 19-22 TDs, 14-16 INTs probably. He played very well in the playoffs, but he's still a young quarterback getting experience. Let's not get our expectations up too high. If he exceeds that, then he's probably had a great year.
That's not a very accurate assessment of how Sanchez' season went. He is clearly the guy who needs to make the biggest improvement if the Jets are to be a real contender, but you didn't watch him play last season and it's obvious based on your post.
You're new, and from Buffalo, so I want to give you a pass, but this is one of the worst posts I've ever read. I know you're not trying to be a troll, but you obviously play one on TV. Sanchez had 2-3 bad games last season, 50% of which can be attributed to our OC. I know you only saw a handful of Jets games last season, but try not to let reading stats equal actually watching reality. Thanks.
Does that stat take into account the number of times Faneca pulled to the right side? He was still a good run blocker before he got cut - if you're going to attribute that 3.5 ypc toward any one player, his name is D'Brickashaw Ferguson.
The key to the season is that old mundane one - avoiding key injuries. If they do that, the Jets will be fine.
Err Bills, Saints, Patriots, and Falcons ... actually i'll give Buffalo (his worst game as a pro) a pass due to the fact that Shotty should have abandoned the passing game and ran the ball MORE with Greene and ran out that clock ... The Patriots game was all Sanchez trying to do WAY WAY too much, that game IMO was much more difficult to watch then the Bills game, because the play-calling was complete crap. Other then those games, Sanchez QB rating and stats were actually decent for a rookie QB, for every bad game he had, he had a 90 - 100 QB Rating ... extremely inconsistent is what I could summarize about Sanchez rookie season. No it didn't take into account, as soon as I find the source I'll post it on the board, but just straight up running to each side, Brick wasn't the best at run blocking either, very true ... fact of the matter is we were better off getting younger. Faneca allowed a lot of sacks, but he will always be remembered for bringing this O-line together as a potent unit
I know Buffalo is almost third world but you did manage to watch other games out of market right? If you have one dem dere electroboxes that tells the time and also has a magical wire to plug into dat dere picture box. Or if you had one of these I doubt you saw any action at all.
