http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/news/story?id=5344171 Jets' Ryan to write book NEW YORK -- Rex Ryan, already headed to HBO, is writing a book, too. The brash, charismatic New York Jets coach is penning a book that will combine autobiography and football strategy. Doubleday acquired the untitled book's North American rights and plans to publish it in spring 2011 -- potentially not long after the Super Bowl win Ryan is gunning for. Ryan, whose Jets will be featured on HBO's "Hard Knocks" training camp series this summer, will write the book with Don Yaeger, a former Sports Illustrated editor and author of books on former NFL stars Warren Moon and Walter Payton. Jason Kaufman, vice president and executive editor of Doubleday, said Ryan "has such a powerful and unique leadership style" and he expects the book "to demonstrate how you lead in certain circumstances."
WE should make a group order from TGG and share expenses... everyone here is going to buy it anyways!
Why publish your football strategy for all to see? Disclaimer: Ya, I know he won't be giving up actual schemes, but why give up anything?
For the same reason he lets everyone on earth know he's running up the gut on fourth and 1 - CAUSE YOU CAN'T FUCKING STOP IT:up:
Cool, the second book I will have bought in a decade. It can go on my bookshelf right next to 'I am America, and So Can You' by Colbert. And by bookshelf I mean the tank of my toilet.
He already wrote a book on the 46 defense. He feels opponents aren't going to beat his defense by reading about his philosophies and schemes and looking at play diagrams.
