So If you guys remember the thread a few months back about wearing JETS stuff during the year? I'm @ Dicks Sporting goods in paramus and I'm wearing my JETS T-shirt, JETS shorts which I rarely wear out of the house and a JETS hat...don't know why but I just was. ASA I walk in the door the guy greeting stops me and says "hey, you a JETS fan?" I looked at him and said stupidly..."no" he chuckled ans said seriously, "Darrell Revis is here" I made a face like yeah ok...he was like "Seriously, they're filming a commercial." Low and behold..cameras, lights and Revis Island! They had flamingos, palm trees, coconuts ...everything that would be on Revis island.... It's a Dicks/NIKE commercial. I just heard little bits but he basically asks a kid, "What's your Last Name?" also there's a part that says something about covering and quaterbacks and also a voiceover part where he says "Boom, if you want............somethin somethin ...cousin".. We couldn't get close enough to hear but yeah. After the shoot He took some pix, shook hands I said "They're gonna pay you or what?" he smirked... So for those who even question about wearing sports shit during the week.... kewl story bro!!! :up:

I'm less surprised you stumbled across Revis shooting a commercial, than the fact that other fans out there wear Jets gear around town! I swear, I feel like a outcast. Damn closet Jets fans. Back on-topic... pretty cool story. :up:
Yeah, there was a thread a while back where someone asked if it's nredy or ok to wear your JETS stuff during the week and most of the people said it was stupid...I totally disagreed and gave it my full blessing whether it was JETS , YANKEES or whoever their team is...there is no fukin code.
Nice one you lucky bugger!! Yeah, never understood why its NOT OK to wear Jets stuff at any other time than game day. I go for weeks on end draped in green.
Well it wasn't announced or anything, it was just by chance that they were there. I don't think they wanted a mob because they needed it to be quiet. They kept screaming for the whole store to be quiet when filming. lol...u like that huh? :wink: Fuk yeah...green anyday! Yeah, they told me Suh was there to film along w/ C.Johnson & Revis on different days...
Not really sure...(I'm still learning Jersey) It's on 17n before the Paramus Park mall. There's a Chef Central, Michaels and used to be a BB&B there that closed and it's where Dick's is now...it's a brand new location.
Exactly. I just wore my old Pennington shirt to the movies last night. I wore a different Jets shirt just a few days before that, and I'm wearing one as I type. If I'm not wearing Jets, it's almost always some other athletic/sports t-shirt. For me, everyone I know is well aware of my team, so come Christmas, B-day, whatever, I always end up with a crap-ton of Jets gear. The thing is, I suspect the same thing happens for many other Jets fans. But why do I so rarely see them out and about??
