Awesome read. Hopefully he can really get in sync with Edwards and Holmes during the offseason/training camp....if he does that coupled with his expected improvement then holy shit...
I am very excited, our offense is going to be sensational this year. It really might be the most fun offense to watch we will have had in a very long time!
Is everyones boner due to the fact that the thread title had Mark and Three way in the same sentence? I too can not wait to see him in action this year. I know we are ground and pound but we could easily be the flying Sanchez's.
For me, the most encouraging thing is the combination of his youth and enthusiasm. He's only 23, turning 24 in November. Give him two more seasons in this system and the sky's the limit.
Funny how we were all bashing the system and Schotty the last couple years. Now we want Sanchez to stick with it and learn it. I'm in agreement with a lot of people with the cutsey stuff, but I also think the cute bullshit gadget plays throw a lot of other unprepared teams off balance. Especially when you throw in BSmith as a QB and he goes for a run. Now you throw in LT in the backfield who is 100% completions on TD throws - With BSmith as a WR and you got some serious mismatches.
These two things have nothing to do with each other. Wanting Sanchez to remain in this system is about keeping him in a stable offense, where he has the best ability to concentrate on learning the QB position, instead of wasting time learning a new playbook. It has nothing to do with Shotty's improved play calling.
Anyone else catch that reverse they ran in practice Wednesday? That brought out some deeply suppressed anger, I must say. Had it been a double-reverse, I might have jumped the fence to go slap him.
