Could we lose Revis after the season if we don't re-sign him now?

i dont understand all this bs when hes got 3 years left, mangold should be the one gettin a deal first hes in his contract year and his concerns are valid. ie injury

im startin to not like revis everytime i hear him say i wana be the highest paid corner, when i saw the numbers under asomugha i was suprised. thats obviously why he wants a deal now

Let's just keep them happy for 2010, if we do that and win the Super Bowl I could care less.

Don't the players realize what a tough spot Tanny is in? There are so many what ifs. 18 game season, what's the salary cap, will there be a rookie payscale, and the list goes on and on.

Woody should just give them all a boat load of cash now and then redo the deal in 2011.

I'm getting so tired of all this Revis BS, I just want to be like it was. When we could just appreciate him as a plater not some greedy hired gun.

Although I agree that this article is BS and that the NFL would not over rule the terms of the agreement, if it did work out that way, it might not be the worst thing to trade or be compensated by RFA rules. We do have two other very strong prospects in AC and KW. What if they turn out to be lights out too?

Hypothetically, we could pay DR 1M this year and evaluate our other talent. If AC and KW turn out great we can probably have them both for the price of DR. Then we can trade DR or let him go as an RFA and get a 1 and a 3 for him.

If you think about it, this is not a bad scenario. Two great corners for the cost of one, plus a 1 and a 3. I wouldn't cry about this deal provided DR was shipped out of the AFC.

    exactly - "what if"

Revis is without a doubt the best corner in the league and the key to the Jet Defense. Cromartie hasn't flashed that same potential since early in San Diego so there's still an element of "what if" to him.

If he was the #1 corner for you guys, it wouldn't worry me really at all, but there is some scary potential for that guy when he stands next to Revis.

and I wouldn't cry about it all either if Revis where shipped elsewhere lol.

If if they're not lights out? Then we match any offer that revis gets as an rfa, if it ever go that far. No matter how it falls, you guys won't be doing much passing on us. Heck, you won't be doing much of anything on us.
