Who is David Harris? You ought to know (ESPN) HBO Hard Knocks needs to pick up on this guy (if Harris lets them of course)
Gotta love Harris. I'm not really a big jersey guy but I think I'm gonna need to pick his up some time.
Harris took it over when Leonhard got hurt, because they werent sure how much Leonhard would be able to play.
I got a Harris jersey mid-way through last season.. they weren't even for sale on the team website, you had to custom order them for $10 more. Which I found completely ridiculous. I would hope after an All-Pro season, his jersey is much easier to get now.
He's the Hitman. I'd be willing to bet he has a better career than Zach Thomas when all is said and done.
I just hope we sign him to an extension before he emerges as a household name. Gotta say with the way guys like Harris Mangold and Dabrick are behaving, its really making Revis look like a douchebag about his contract thing.
His rookie season opened a few eyes but got injured the next. He had exceptionally identical stats in his rookie season vs his 16 starts last year. Difference is, he started only 9 games and that too when Vilma went down (am I correct?). One can only imagine how much of a difference he could have made had he started all 16. He had 25 tackles in the first 7 games and 102 tackles in the last 9 games - totally unbelievable for a rookie. A lot of people were willing to let go off Harris in the Cutler trade but that was due to the knee (?) injury he got in the 2008 season.
David Harris has to be my favorite jet, plays the game the right way on the field and conducts himself the right way off. Nice to see the core 4 come from 2 consecutive drafts. Ferguson and Mangold in 2006 and Revis and Harris in 2007.
Loved Harris out of Michigan. Was pissed when we passed on him... and then more pissed that you took him. He turned out exactly like I thought he would.
I remember his first or second start in 2007, against Washington. Absolutely destroyed everything in his way. Had over 20 tackles. Nobody thought they had to account for the rookie.
