Very interesting in deed, I can't see Tom Brady leaving the Pats, not at all, I guess they are waiting to see what contract Manning is going to get, but that's a bad idea for the Pats, Manning is going to get a HUGE contract

The article reads like pure speculation, because you know Brady, BB, and Kraft aren't telling him anything.

This is an interesting topic to say the least. I was very impressed by Brian Hoyer when he was thrown in against the Texans. Do the Patriots hedge their bets and look to the future?

I honestly believe that the reason the Pats have been trading back and back in drafts for the last couple of years and stocking up on future picks is that when they do realize Tom Terrific can't cut it anymore, they can trade up to a top slot to get their next quarterback.

I think this is all about Belli's ego because he cannot stand any player on the team out shining him. The trading down only works if you still get a quality player and recently he has not gotten the type of contributer he used to. Will he someday start using those picks to get a stud? maybe but he would rather get a ted bruchi a little later on than a stud middle LB in the top ten.

Ship him to Buffalo, Belly, just like you did to Lawyer Milloy.

I will actually give the Pats some credit, it's not stupid of them to wait and see what the new terms of the CBA are. Tom maybe has 4 -5 years left and how many of those will be elite years? Likely not many. It'd be stupid of them to lock him up long term w/o knowing how much it will handcuff them.

I have to wonder if Brady talking about not doing any favors for the Pats has to do with the Jets being in negotiations with some of there players ...

This is exactly what I was thinking. I wish Brady and Manning would work out their contracts, so then we could point to the amount of money 2 all-pro QBs are making when trying to negotiate with our core 4. Revis can't expect to be paid Manning/Brady money... can he?

Not sure I've read anywhere that brady says he's not doing or going to do the Pats any favors. I've seen it speculated by sports writers.

I also doubt anything Brady says or does is with any thought of the Jets whatsoever. It's about what Brady wants, and what the Pats want.

This contract situation is going on league-wide, with most every team having tough negotiations with top players due to the uncertainty of the CBA. I think the league is purposely holding the line as a way to get players to push the union to get a deal done on a new CBA, so they can get their money.

I was so pissed of when last year the got Hoyer for nothing... however he is by no means the future of that franchise.

There is no chance Tom Brady is not a Patriot in 2011.
