After the many years of the Jets being owned by Leon, Woody has been a great owner IMO. He is doing everything to make the JETS and this area a must see week in and week out. When Woody first took over I was unsure he would be a great owner, but after last night and having the Superbowl here in 2014.

Tanny, the player they are bringing in, The Atlantic Health Center, the hiring of Rex, new Stadium, Hard Knock this summer, and now the Superbowl in 2014.....this is not the SOJ

I cant not wait for the first game on Monday Night Football

    Yes and no IMO.

He has certainly built up the team and CS into what should be a perennial playoff contender.

He has also completely ass-reamed the team's most loyal fans with his PSL/Caste system he is employing in the new stadium.

Many of the moves he has made including bringing in Brett Favre as a mercenary are seen by many of us as simply ways in which to sell PSLs.

I want to see us go to the promiseland and I'll deal with my new seats and the lousy parking but I will ALWAYS look at Woody as a money motivated individual who is more concerned with selling PSLs than winning the big game.

He is a fantastic owner IMO. He is doing everything to put a winning product on the field week in and week out. As for his ass reaming of the fans, i am sorry i don't completely agree. The Giants ass reamed their fans big time, Woody has done nothing but try and work with the fans, no PSL's in the upper bowl, financing, and even lowered ticket prices to make seats more attractive. I personally think the PSL's suck, but this is what the businesss of the sport is becoming. At least we have an owner that somewhat cares about the fan base.

I don't really care about the ticket situation one way or the other, but the reason why Woody lowered prices was because the tickets weren't selling (and still arent)

The jets have been relevant since he's owned the team. I love him as an owner.

couldn't agree more with the fact woody has been a great owner and not only all the things he does for this team, but also what he does for the community...woody does a lot of fund raisers and other off field charitys all around good guy

if you complain about having woody johnson as an owner, you're a cry baby douche. we should count our blessings we have an owner that is willing to do anything it takes for this team to win. Look around the NFL and you won't find a better owner. I can't think of one. People might say the rooneys, but look at how they cast off santonio. He hired the right people to handle the football side of things, and puts tremendous faith in them. He's hands on without being problematic or overstepping his boundaries. Not only that, you can tell the guy is a tremendous human being. I love woody johnson almost as much as i love rex

Leon Hess was a senile tightwad, thank god that era ended.

Considering my other favorite teams have been owned by douchebags (Wang, Wilpons)..i won't put Dolan there, Woody is a HUGE breath of fresh air. as much as Dolan gets hated on, he would spend every last cent he can to make the knicks competitive. The team has sucked so he gets thrown in a bad light, but he'd give every resource possible to make them better.

You can't the same for Wilpon who for years has stuck with the same losers, wouldn't add pitching when they needed it, and while i think omar needed to be fired, there's no doubt he's handcuffed him financially especially since madoff cleaned those morons out.

Bottom line it is no longer "same old jets" but we still have a lot of "same old jet fans"

Woody has had the Jets in the playoffs 5 out of his first 10 seasons and he has gone through 4 head coaches and spent many millions of dollars on free agents over that span. That's like a Dan Snyder philosophy that actually works. It's not like the Jets have done that in a weak division either. The Pats are still one of the best organizations in football and the Dolphins have been a threat over much of that span.

Nope they will just be replaced by others who are tired of not winning a SB after being a fan for 40 or so years

i am in the yes and no group.

    the pros:

he wants a winner on the field. he has brought in quality personnel for the field and for the office to accomplish this. i can say at this point there is no doubt he wants to give us a winner.

he wants us to be excited. he works with tanny and rex on bringing in big time players to make this team something we want to watch.

he is changing the face of the franchise. hes taking us from being the redheaded stepchild of the tri state to being one of the top organizations in the nfl

    the cons:

hes pricing out the real fans. the psl's, the ticket prices, the parking, are all leading to more and more hardcore fans not being able to attend the game. those are the people that make the stadium rock and its a damn shame. to me thats the only negative, but its a huge negative

the bottom line is we are lucky our owner cares about winning and cares about giving us a team worth watching. we dont have to be ready to attack when we tell people we are fans of the new york jets.
