http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2010/05/19/brandon-marshall-held-out-of-dolphins-otas-with-medical-issue/ DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall, the club's prized offseason acquisition, is being held out of the team's first wave of organized team activities after undergoing an undisclosed surgical procedure. "It's definitely frustrating," Marshall said Wednesday, declining to discuss the nature of the injury, per team rules, that led to the surgery. "But some things you can't control." The media on hand at Dolphins headquarters for the team's first OTA availability could relate. All Coach Tony Sparano would say was that Marshall -- acquired from the Denver Broncos by trade last month and immediately given a four-year, $46 million contract extension -- underwent surgery of some kind, and that it wasn't something that team expected when it shipped second-round picks in 2010 and '11 to the Broncos in exchange for the mercurial Pro Bowler. "It's going to take some time," said Sparano, adding he wasn't sure if Marshall would be available for any OTAs or whether the recovery would drag into training camp. "It's just something that came up and needed to get cleaned up. And we did. We don't play a game today. We play games down the road." Sparano was asked if he could say "what region" of Marshall's body had the surgery. "No," he said. "Nice try, though." Marshall, one of only five receivers in NFL history to catch 100 passes in three consecutive seasons (2007-09), began Wednesday's OTA session alongside defensive tackle Jason Ferguson and linebacker Channing Crowder on stationary bicycles for about 20 minutes, then stood behind his offensive teammates during drills the remainder of practice. "Whenever you're on the sideline and can't participate, especially in a new environment, you want to be out there," Marshall said. "New system. New players. But I was doing a good job of getting good mental reps on the sidelines."

Nah we're good: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/04/17/the-truth-on-the-brandon-marshall-deal/
You wouldn't give a top 5 receiver in the NFL a $60 million contract? He's a beast, even if he plays for the gayass Fins.
Sweet so its confirmed work was done on his OTHER hip. The 'healthy' one. Nice this guy will def be a beast this year, but who knows his durability in the future?
Just a non-invasive arthroscopic surgery. Not repairing anything. He'll be ready for camp, which is all that really matters.
