If you boo him just because, you're an idiot and haven't coped with reality yet. He's on our team and is here to win. I hated that Pansy more than anybody else here but let his play do the talking. If you boo him off the bat, you just justify his sentiments from before. The best way to show him what real jets fans are about is to embrace him on the field. If he sucks it up, then boo all you want. I won't be running to buy his jersey ever, but there's a difference between sucking his balls and cheering for anybody on this team to do well. Whether it's gholston, Taylor and even fuckin drew Coleman. Ok, maybe not drew coleman
I disagree, your taking it too seriously. This guy talked serious shit about jets fans, and now, he winds up in a jet uniform. The irony is too much to bear and I think he deserves a nice opening day boo. Hes making a lot more money than any of us, and hes playing a game. A tough game, yes, but its all in fun. Have a boo or two, why not? It'll be fun and im sure hell get a laugh out of it himself, what does he expect? If he fails to perform, however, the boos will get quite serious.
i will do the cha-cha-cha! for him if he plays great. then yell fag if he sucks(while doing the cha-cha-cha)
Because the New York Jets have some very fickle fans. The very same that applauded when Chad Pennington got hurt 2 seasons ago. While I'm not a Taylor fan per se, I will support the team and give him a chance to make a difference. If Taylor helps the team, I'm off his back. If he plays like crap, then it will be "Taylor sucks" season in the Meadowlands.
Well won't you look foolish during say game six of the season when Taylor sacks the QB and you stand up and boo. But to each their own.
:finssuck:I'll never look foolish booing Jason Taylor. But you'll look like a sell out cheering him. No real Jets fan would ever cheer this dude after all the crap he's said. Until he begs forgiveness.............
I'll be cheering for him. As JT said in this article, he doesn't want to be booed at home AND away. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-yorkjets/post/_/id/451/taylor-discusses-the-move-to-ny Before reporting to the Jets' OTAs Tuesday, Jason Taylor conducted his annual charity event in South Florida on Sunday and Monday. Taylor, speaking to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, said he has received positive feedback from the fans in Dolphins country. "I guess the people that don't support it or aren't happy with me don't say anything, but the support has been overwhelming," Taylor told the newspaper. "People have been saying great things and have really been behind us and understand it's part of life, part of the game." Taylor, who signed a two-year contract last month with his one-time hated rival, said he hasn't been out much in New York, so "I'm not sure what they're saying yet. Haven't read a lot of the press. It's fine. It will be fine. You go make a few plays and hopefully they embrace me." But he added with a smile, "What I don't want is to get booed at home and on the road. We'll see how that goes in our opener. We'll see how that goes when I come down here (to Miami for the Sept. 26 game on Sunday night)." I think Fireman Ed, who extended a public olive branch to Taylor via ESPNNewYork.com, should make the trip to Miami for that game. Now that would be crazy.
Well most here if fact are at least willing to give him a shot. I'm willing to do the same. If the guy helps the team win, I'm in!!
so long as he performs I will cheer for him... however, his mistakes will be much less tolerable than those of real Jets...
