I have expected a lot and got nothing and expected nothing and got a lot. Anyone who expects a lot should tread carefully or you will feel the Jet pain, the kind of pain that makes Monday mornings hurt, the kind of pain that no band-aid can make better, its pain only an NFL fan knows. The difference now is the cockiness of our coach and team puts us out there with them, don't kid yoursefl, if you know any Giant, Dolphin or Pats fans they are hiding in the woods just waiting to pounce on us. Winning means more now then ever, its a matter of survival.
then change teams. i'm not going to act like a pussy because of division opponents and the Giants fans waiting to "pounce" the older fans need to get a fucking grip and grow a pair. Stop dragging my fanbase down with this scared attitude. I'm not looking for mindless zealots, the way Eagles fans are... I'm looking for confident Jets fans that are ready to take on all teams from shitty franchises to perennial powerhouses.
it means when a thread is terrible and worthless, it is better to spam it with pictures of Polar Bears and Girlfriends. Especially ones that have to do with scared emotions about being confident. The only posters to add support in this thread are known for being huge pussies when it comes to the Jets having any ounce of success. One of them didn't scout Sanchez in college, rarely saw him in action, but didn't like him anyway and still refuses to support him. so you get this:
If Sanchez's progress from yr. 1 to yr. 2 is sitnificant we will be extremely difficult playoff opponent.
Interesting point here....... the generation gap......well I still see a lot of overly zealous posts round here! Def. On board with confidence!
Thanks Mike.....well I guess everyone can return to their regularly scheduled dose of mindless zealotry....:jets:
well the sarcasm was a nice touch, but in all seriousness its not zealotry. I'm happy we have a confident fanbase. This is new for the Jets.
Like I have said many times, I couldn't give a fuck what the division and Giants fans think of the Jets or their fan base. If I say I think that my team will have a great season and turn out to be wrong then so the fuck what? Missing a prediction about a football team I happen to root for is probably the last thing I am concerned about.
my turn for a curb your enthusiasm reference: I do not like the Superbowl talk either, Having Said That...I think we will win it all this year.
