I think Colt McCoy has a great chance because he is a proven leader and has experience under extreme pressure (4 years at texas). Bradford is great but he has a bit of an injury problem. Also, I think a big part of being successful is having a good supporting cast as a young qb. McCoy has a better situation in Cleveland as st Louis is just a mess. Cleveland has a future - a lot of young players from this year's draft, and Mike Holmgren there to build the team.
I feel like Clausen is going to a better team than the others which is important. Carolina has a decent Oline, a luxury that Bradford, McCoy and Tebow do not have. It's much easier for a rookie to get antiquated with the NFL if he isn't always running for his life.
I'm gonna take the long shot and bet on Tebow. If given time to create an offense around him instead of him being forced into an offense I think his leadership and style might do good. I don't like him but I really didn't like any of the QB's in this draft.
I'm gonna say Colt McCoy...he has the benefit of being "redshirted" this year, and the FO really believes in him and will build that offense around him.
I voted Claussen out of default mostly. He had above average WRs at Notre Dame, but they had a garbage team, and he did what he could with them. He's got confidence and some bravado and you can't teach that, you have to have "it." I think if any of these guys have "it," it's Claussen. He can move around the pocket and he has a nice live arm. He'll be okay. Pike would be the one guy that can give him a run. Maybe Tebow. you have to worry about injuries with Bradford, and he hasn't even played a down in the NFL yet. If I'm the Rams, I would have taken Suh. No question about it.
I voted Bradford. I just have a feeling that this kid is going to do something special in the league.
Clausen reminds me of Philip Rivers. No leadership, but great football skills. I'm taking a gamble and saying Tebow. I think he will prove everyone wrong.
I'm going Claussen as I feel Carolina is moving in the right direction with their team and given a couple more good drafts and a WR to spell Smith they could be very good. But I also didn't like any QB's in this draft either I'm sooo glad we got Sanchez over any of these guys.
Tebow. Bradford's shoulder is going to go Pennington. Clausen's teammates are going to turn on him. McCoy just don't have it. Or maybe not...
Damn only 20% think Bradford will be the most successful QB in the long run? I think he easily has the most upside... I'd be surprised if he wasn't the best of this years rookie QB crop.
I'm just worried about the Rams invisible O-line for Bradford, he could get broken in his first season...
Bradford has the athleticism to scramble and get out of the way. I just hope he doesn't develop a habit of it. Claussen I am convinced is going to do a lot to alienate his teammates. I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of guards let a pass rusher through in the preseason to get him to shut the fuck up.
I think in the long run it'll be McCoy. I think Holmgren will do better putting a good supporting cast around him in the future than the St. Louis FO
I'm going to go with Tebow because I think McDaniels knows how to get the most out of his QBs (as we've seen with Cassel and Kyle freakin' Orton!). Besides that he has some pretty good pass-catching weapons and a lot of RBs to help him out. He also is far more physically talented than Cassel or Orton. I think when you combine his situation (which includes Denver's thin air helping compensate for his average arm strength) and his work ethic you have a recipe for some success.
