    Maybe he just isn't as passionate about it as other people, and he wants to pursue his education. If he truly was passionate, he would be playing.

    well i know nothing about the guy, but if he told teams if i don't get drafted im not playing... that says he doesnt really want to play and is just trying to find an excuse to not play.

    So i wouldnt have drafted him. Im glad he didnt get drafted and doesnt want to play. It gives one more kid who actually cares a chance to pursue their dream.

    Probably. It's probably an excuse not to play, he's probably making it sound good to his parents.

    He should at least try playing for a year. College won't disappear. His shot at the NFL will though.

    He clearly doesn't have the heart for it. I guess he thinks that if he's drafted he has a better chance of staying on the roster than if he has to work in as a UDFA.

    If I had a chance to play in the NFL I would want to be the QB for the NY Jets and to win a superbowl before being driven home in my own limo to bang loads of cheerleaders.

    He would've played if he got drafted.

    This proclamation probably hurt his draft stock, though. It makes teams question your desire, and if you had him slotted as a late round pick anyway...
