Mambo, why did you switch your McKnight grade ?

You made it higher...you had a C- there now it's a B-...how do you switch a whole grade?

You are weighing too much into 40 times, and Cromartie ran a 4.38.

excellent pick up. amazing to me that he fell like this. If we sign Sharper then look out.

I went from C+ to B-... I gave him a C+ because I was highly unimpressed from high at the combine but then I saw all the highlights posted on TGG and he looks a much better football player in a football uni rather than in shorts... and since we are not competing in the olympics that's the most important thing :).

I'm very happy with this move. I thought a team would take him in the 6th or 7th round. We should be set at CB for at least 5 seasons.

Fixed it, thanks... anyways when covering on the outside on man-to-man it's not all about technique imo.

We saw it with Lowery, you can have a very good technique but if you're around 4.6 speed sometimes you'll leave the WR the chance to make a play (on the outside).

In the inside it's not as important and this is why Ifeel Warren and Lowery can both contribute greatly in that capacity...

Ps Haden ran in the 4.4 at his pro day and there are rumors of Jenkins being moved to FS...

    Hold on though...

What's crazy is that as I've looked into Warren's history, it seems that those 4.6 times are NOT his true speed.

It turns out he ran hurt at the combine (ankle) then decided to run again on a whim at his pro day, despite the ankle not being sound (he hurt it again).

    http://www.annarbor.com/sports/um-f...orrows-shoes-takes-part-in-michigans-pro-day/

All the major scouting services had him running a 4.4 when he was one of the top CB recruits in 2007 out of Long Beach Polytechnic HS.

I mean, holy fucking shit - if he doesn't need surgery is this just an amazing, ridiculous pick up. Hell, even if he does he could still end up being a steal.

If this guy plays to his potential, Warren may end up being the Jets biggest steal of the draft.

Revis Cromartie Lowery Wilson and Warren is easily the best set of CB on any team. Drew Coleman will be released and signed by the Phins.

Hopefully he takes Drew Coleman's spot on the roster

assuming Warren makes the team, and I believe he will, Coleman's days as a Jet are done. IMHO if Warren makes the team any of our 5 CB's would be a starter on most teams, (you could probably argue against warren being in that statement as being premature) but as far as the other 4 there are maybe 1 or two teams in the NFL where one or more of our big 4 wouldn't be an upgrade over what they currently have.

This! He can't possibly be worse than Drew Coleman.. if it's between them 2 for the last CB spot, I feel pretty good about Warren's chances.

Probably should add I think if Warren makes the team him and Lowery will be seeing time at free safety this season as well..

Was curious about this kid so I decided to do some research...

According to Rivals.com, it turns out that he was the 3rd highest secondary recruit coming out of HS (Eric Berry #1) and best prospect from a loading Long Beach Poly team.

    http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/rankings/rank-1493

This could end up being a complete steal thanks to his ankle hampering his 40-time.

Ok I seriously doubt that Warren plumeted out of the draft entirely because he ran a 4.6 forty... somebody would have taken a flyer on the kid if he was just a little slow and maybe tried to move him inside to safety or something.

There has to be another reason why he went undrafted....

He had a really bad year, too. Also, there are questions about his work ethic.

If the ankle issue showed up at the combine as a chronic thing that potentially needed surgery, that's another issue.

It's not like he's going to be the next Revis, but he has a chance to be a starter in the NFL, I'd think.

It will be impossible to run a 5-WR Hail Mary on us. Any 4th quarter comebacks on Madden 2011 will be stopped cold.

All I see is a guy who doesn't miss tackles. Vice-Grip is my nickname for him.
