Feely, the man represented more than a kicker, he had balls about him. Im gonna miss the guy. Faneca is close second becuase I really dont see the need in releasing him.
If you keep watching it for the full 10 minutes, it actually cycles from funny, to disturbing, back to funny.
I loved feely. great guy, was more or less automatic (minus a game or two), had great locker room presence. that whole thing where he had to punt at the cinci game was awesome. filled in very admirably. However, i think it came down to the final four rules and he was the only option for that. Folk has been a good kicker and as much as they would have like to kept feely, being able to sign an UFA was much more a priority. i wont miss TJ since we're better at the position now,but i respect him and while its a reality of the business (and better for the team...all these moves were) its still a shame.
I'm going to miss Leon. He was the most exciting 3rd down player the Jets have had in a long, long time and those guys are hard to find. It's a toss-up for me whether he or Bruce Harper is the best 3rd down back in Jet's history.
I'm more confident in LT replacing Jones and McKnight replacing Leon and Ducasse replacing Faneca and Pool replacing Rhodes than I am Folk replacing Feely. I hate to say it, but he was the best (at his position) of any of those players, and was replaced by the worst.
I'll miss Faneca the most. When he and Mangold stood on the sidelines together with their helmets off, it looked like half of our Offensive Line just stepped off of their Harleys and were heading into a biker bar for a beer.
Leon, then probably Faneca and Jones. When I attended my first NFL draft the Jets were on the clock and they took Washington. So I've always had a special place for him
Coming into this thread, I thought it would be just an option of Leon or Faneca. When I saw that Feely was an option, I voted for him. He's a proven kicker, yet so much more to the team. I will miss Feely the most, as far as the team goes. Leon though, I will miss the most overall. Am I making sense to anyone else but myself?
I liked Faneca but i understand he was being paid a shit load of money and his pass protection has diminished to almost nothing but Leon was one of my favorite jets and i'm going to miss him. I thought we would have atleast gotten a 4th Rounder but it is what it is, Best luck to Leon and Thanks for the the good play in the days where nobody was better for us.
I'll miss TJ for all the hard work he put in as a Jet. I know he has help from a great offensive line but he put up great number for us. Still it was his time to move on and I wish him the best.
