not a surprise, basically said Mcknight was the reason we dumped Leon. Tanny said he'd never bet against him. But with all the challenges we would have trying to resign guys next offseason he was almost positive we were going to lose Leon, so they decided to go get the best fullback in the draft and get some value out of him. Says Mcknight is going to be disgusting. Faneca move was made in order for the team to get better, and in order to do that they had to move on from alan. Tanny got a little frustrated in the middle there, he went on a mini-tirade over leon lol
From the sound of this they think Slauson and or Ducasse is better than Faneca at this point. That isn't too surprising. Many here questioned the timing of this, they simply said they did this to help Faneca get on a team of his choosing........uh huh yeah, that was a Baghdad Bob moment. As for Washington, McNight made him expendable. Leon was a fun explosive player, hopefully McNight can supply the same excitement. Didn't seem like they thought they could get him back anyhow. They really feel that all the moves in total made the team better. Edit: Rex really likes Conner. That was a Rex pick as well.
any doubt you have over these moves seems to always go away whenever ryan talk lol. hes to f-ing man :jets:
my favorite part was what rex said at the end alluding to off the field issues. Everyone has had problems and makes mistakes, but if you want to win and are a good person overall. too much is made of off the field issues. people fuck up all the time. we all have. the difference is whether you learn from it or are capable of learning from it. Some people will never learn and have horrible attitudes but i bet you the people we picked up all learned from their mistakes and wouldnt put themselves in this positions again. thats why they said "they did their homework". you gotta look at the entire body of work, not just an incident..or even two in some cases. Hence why T.O. is very different from a Brayon edwards or a santonio holmes good for us though. GM's and the media can spin their heads overanalyzing these "issues" when they're losing out on good players.
