I was wondering why there was a trade right after the Jets' pick when the Jets picked Wilson. I wanted Wilson, I was just confused as to why they picked him. Now we know: Rex fucking Ryan. Hell yeah.

Going by the round 1 draft recap press conference (on ny jets website) we got quite a few calls for our pick and also the Vikings had rung Wilson a few minutes before us which points to the fact the Viks were looking to take Wilson if we didn't. I'm so happy with our choice to be honest but i'd love to be noisy and find out what was offered to us for pick 29
I've also heard that we were going to trade Faneca if we went after Iupati. The fact that he got drafted at 17 may have been a blessing in disguise. O-line continuity is very important.

Not that much actually, probably exactly what the Vikings got if we would have traded with the Lions. So we could have moved up 29 spots in the 4th round and gotten a 7th rounder. I rather take Wilson.
