Wright back to the dugout after failing yet again in a big RBI spot.

Nieve comes in and gives up the lead.

Only one letter off of Niese, but a wider gap in performance, needing only four pitches or so to allow a hit.

Hitting Reyes there when he was 0-2 could be a big mistake for the Cubs..

Why is Igarashi warming up? He should be having today off, there is no way he should be in the game.

And that's why Pagan should be starting over GMJ.

GMJ-fails to even make contact, K's with Reyes on base.
    Pagan-comes through.

I wanna see how fast Reyes is. Anyone feel he still has the same speed as before the injury?

this is what the lineup (in my opinion) should look like after the ASB:

    reyes ss
    davis 1b
    wright 3b
    beltran cf
    bay lf
    francoeur rf
    thole/barajas c
castillo 2b or castillo is gone and tejada will be at 2b
    pitcher

and jerry should be gone by then.

Nice pitch to end the game.
I miss when the Mets played like this more often.

Has anyone else noticed how good our starting pitching has been the last week, besides possibly maine.... If we start hitting even a little bit, and keep pitching like we have been, this team might not be half bad. Pelf, and Niese seem like solid young pitchers, Ollie and Maine might rebound and pitch like the decent mlb pitchers they've been in the past. The pen looks promising too.

*No need to mention Johan, thats a given.

would you really want luis in the two hole? if he was gone i would have put tejada in it. i just cant stand castillo. id rather the pitcher bat before him.
