I know this isn't the ticket forum, but I figured that pretty much whoever may want the tickets would be in here regularly. My friends and I have four tickets to days one and two this year for being day two die-hards from last year, but we decided to skip going to the early days and stick to Day 3. SO, we have four sets of day one and day two tickets up for grabs, and I was given the honor of finding a home for them. They have some crazy prices for tickets on craigslist, people asking for like 150 per seat, per night. I put mine up on craigslist for 50 per ticket, so 400 overall for the four. I'd honestly rather sell them to you guys if there's anyone out there that really wants them for less than that. If you want to PM me an offer feel free. The seats are all next to each other, first night in the 2nd mezzanine and the 1st for Day 2. Just so you know, if you're in New Jersey or can get to New Jersey that'd be preferred, so I can get them to you easily.
I have thought very seriously of going the last two or three years and never made..one time my battery died as I was leaving to go...that was the draft where we got Gholston so I guess it was fate...anyway is it a good time.. I heard it is better at home I would love to hear your feed back.
If you can get them. The only way you're certain to get tickets for the next year's draft.....do what GH did...go to Sunday's draft, which will be Saturday this year.
Does anyone know what the deal is with Day 2 this year. I know how Day 1 traditionally works with the wrist bands and a I know Day 3 should be like the previous Day 2 where you can just show up and you are in. But the NFL website said something like its a combination of night before line up, and first come first serve? Anyone heard anything different?
Apologies for bumping this old thread, but I'm a Browns fan planning to come into town for the NFL draft, and the NFL.com site is woefully poorly updated in this regard. I figured Jets fans might have some of the answers to my questions. And no - I'm not hoping for Andrew Luck like last year's Panther fan. I last attended the draft when we drafted Joe Thomas, Brady Quinn, and Eric Wright and I'm hoping for another three good players (on paper) on Draft day. 1. I know you have to sleep outside for First Round tickets. Did that in '07. But if you do that and stick around for the entire draft day, do they give you tickets for the Second-Third round Friday or is there another long wait in your future? I'd like to attend all three days (for some reason). 2. Is there any Jets fan who has an extra ticket for this year's draft that won't be using it? Maybe we can work something out. Thanks for your help! :martin:
I would love to go the draft but imagine getting a ticket on day 1 and find out the jets traded out of the 1st round haha.
I don't know if there are any guarantees for Day 2/3 if you show up on Day one, that said I think they might give you day one AND two tickets if you camp out. Day 3 is no issue, just show up in the morning and you'll get a seat somewhere, it might not be front row or anything, but you'll be somewhere. As for buying tickets, I'll probably have some up day one/two for sale again like I did a couple years ago if anyone's interested.
umm I arrive at 10 PM on that line, line starts moving at 11PM I get my wristband and I'm guaranteed a seat come draft day. People that sleep out are hilarious..don't you know the wristbands don't mean anything? Line up early for the actual draft day if you want front row seats but it's a crapshoot. I usually arrive 2 hours before opening. I get top row, but IDC, beats having to sleep outside radio city.
no never sleep outside for draft tickets, jesus. on Wednesday(day before draft) wait in line to get a wristband that secures you a ticket for Round 1. You can get there when the line starts moving at 11PM and still get a wristband, or you can get there earlier, but you're retarded if you get there earlier than 7 PM to line up. That wristband then secures you tickets for Thursday. Line starts moving at 7 PM, get there as early as you want for seats, i usually go 2 hours before at 5, but feel free to line up as early as you want for (not guaranteed) "better" seats. Honestly I'm fine with my seats which are nosebleed, but for me it's all about the experience of being there. After the draft ends you have to line up again to get a wristband for the second day. This will be faster because there are less people lined up to get wristbands. On the third day just show up.
Day 3 is no problem to get into I notice they dont give out tix for Day one if you stay all day on Day 3. You need some special card or pass or something
Yeah you have to have the diehard thing grandfathered in. I've been doing it for like 6 or 7 years, they stopped adding new people in some time ago so they could sell more.
Very good information. When I went in '07 you slept outside the night before the draft, then walked in and attended directly (they still did the morning two-day draft back then). So if you didn't sleep outside then, you probably weren't getting in for the first two rounds. Sounds like now you line up on Wednesday night, they hand out the wristbands Wednesday night (so you don't have to sleep outside unless you're a moron), then you come back at 5pm or whatever to get seats on Thursday after spending the day frolicking with the locals and eating street food. Then you do the same drill (or similar) for Friday tickets. I can handle it. Sounds like fun, really... just wish they didn't do these things during the week. Most normal humans won't take off half a week of work to travel for the draft.
Yea it's moronic how they changed it. I feel bad for out of towners because they essentially have to take half the week off (or take a chance that they can get to New york by Wednesday). It's no problem for me cause I live here. But what you described is correct. After Thursday (1st day) they have you lineup outside again to get tickets for Day 2 (after the draft finishes, this time line doesn't start moving till 12 AM ish). This is a lot faster because a lot less people go for the 2nd day.
