I'm going to miss Santonio Holmes the player because he was one hell of a receiver for the Steelers and made arguably one of the greatest catches in Super Bowl history. He won us that game.

I'm not gonna miss Santonio Holmes the asshat. Drugs, Throwing drinks at women in a nightclub. Tweeting stupid ass shit as if to taunt people who dared call him out for being a dumbass.

In light of all the legal crap facing the Black and Gold lately, something had to give and reports are out that the Steelers were willing to cut him loose for nothing, so i guess the fact we got a 5th round pick for him is better than nothing.

Regardless, your team on the field just got a hell of a lot better, and things were already looking up as it is.

Jets went to the AFC Championship last year and got a lot better already this offseason.

You guys got a lot to look forward to.

    Thanks, SC.

The last time I felt this good about a Jets team was about 1 second before an uncharacteristic Curtis Martin fumble in week 1 of 2009.

Thanks SC this is anything but normal whats going on around here. I can not wait for TC because we can all taste it, we have a realistic shot for the first time since 1999. We all know how disastrous that season started, we just need to stay healthy *fingers crossed* and we will be able to compete with anybody next year.

I gotta admit it SC, this is a strange position for a Jet fan to be in pardner. For decades people shit on us and now all of a sudden, we're getting respect from everybody (Giants not included but fck them anyway) and from elite teams as well. It feels good but again, we still have to do it on the field.

Well you finally got yourselves a good coach, and you're making smart personnel moves.

Honestly, if you guys get some solid guys in the draft, the sky is the limit.

Thanks SC, this has been one amazing offseason and the draft is the cherry on top. I'm looking forward to us netting a pass rusher and a safety in a few weeks.

Well no Jets fan should be ashamed to feel giddy right now. I just hope this talent translates to wins.

while i don't feel ashamed to be giddy, i do feel as everyone is over hyping this way to much hand that can be a bad thing.. ( anyone remember the mets of 08?)

while this team does have caliber talent, and talent poteintial is unlimited i feel we are getting way ahead of ourselves....

like other people have said just because were great on paper doesn't always mean wins (look at the recent detriot tigers lol)

not trying to downfall the mood, asi am really excited to i just really enoyed being the underdog last year and to be honest i think that had something to do with the way we performed down the stretch.

if anyone remembers the jets for at least the past five years, games we thought they were going to win we didn't , and games that we weren't even supposed to be in we either one or it was a nail biter..... me personally i loved being the underdog and seeing my team come out on top (and cover the spread for me too:up:)

i dont just donw want ot overhype them because god forbid we start the season 0-2 or even 1-2 some of those same people will be on here saying those were the dumbest signings, and we made a mistake and blah blah blah....

on another note... can i get a chant going?......:jets:

To Hell with being the underdog! We/I have been that for years and damn years! Finally we are getting respect and not just for one year. It feels stupid-great to be a Jets Fan!!!! And I havent been able to say that for a long, long time! :rofl2:

The guy just got a four game suspension. There is a change he may get banned if he keeps doing drugs. He is obviously damaged goods. Nobody seems to talk about what the Jets got for Vilma. Didn't they get robbed by New Orleans? Would the Saints have won the SB without Vilma? I remember he broke up a Manning pass deep in the secondary in the SB. They were both in the last year of their contract. Similar situation. Vilma coming off a serious injury and Holmes got off field problems. Both traded to a new team with big question marks.
