Yea with Hard Knocks, Rex Ryan, and the talent on this team our fanbase is going to grow ten-fold.

Yes we did and yes we do.

LT is going to make Mark Sanchez so much better.

Taylor would improve our pass rush - he'd be an instant upgrade over Thomas and Gholston.

I agree about LT and I'm on thet fence about Taylor. If we can get him with a low-risk high reward contract I'm all for it.

He's going to be 36 this season.

dude Taylor is old and cooked and LT Isnt anything special anymore

only thing good LT brings to the table is that he can block well, and catch some passes out of the backfield. LEon can catch passes out of the backfield too

    LT is pretty much done

lets see how he does in a run 1st offense behind the best offensive line in the league before you jump to conclusions like that. Something tells me the best running back of the past 10 years is far from finished, and being in a balanced dynamic offense should provide plenty of on field motivation

I know he's old and he'll be nothing more than a stop gap player, but he'll give this team a solid, proven pass rusher that can be a rotational player.

He's signing a deal similar to Jay Feely's - that's pretty damn cheap.

This is going to be my answer for posters like you from now on: You know close to nothing about this sport.

Who cares if he's old? Vernon Gholston has only been in the league a few years and he's terrible. Taylor is a proven pass rusher that will be an immediate upgrade over Bryan "the Cactus" Thomas and Vernon Gholston.

San Diego's offensive line was terrible, plus Norv Turner is an idiot.

Tomlinson CAN block well and he'll be a valuable receiver out of the backfield. Having a veteran back on the field and in the huddle with Sanchez is going to be huge.

How exactly is that gonna be huge to have LT in the huddle? What is he gonna call plays for sanchez? fuck outta here

I'm biased on taylor because I hate that faggot and I can't believe any jets fan would actually wanna see this guy in our colors....... However, did LT show anything last year? He clearly lost a step 2 years ago. if you missed that YOU dont know anything "about this game"

This isnt about motivation. LT is the type of guy who will be motivated until he hangs it up... thats probably why he was so amazing in the first place. Its about him having the speed to breakaway and the quickness to avoid tackles which he lost

Yeah, I was right about you not knowing anything about football.

You ever heard of confidence? It's huge for a quarterback.

Having LT as a check-down option and as a pass protector will make Sanchez's development as a passer so much easier.

Tomlinson scored 12 TDs last season. He battled injuries and once again, he played behind an absolutely terrible offensive line.

Being biased about a player because he talked shit about a division rival and its fans is hilarious. Some of you guys are ridiculous.

You've clearly lost a step as a poster if you think you can beat me in an argument on any topic that's football related. I own you.

He had very few opportunities to show what he is like 100% last year. Add the fact the charger oline is almost as big of a joke as their pass happy play calling and your stacking the deck against the guy. This is the perfect team and perfect situation for him here, sure he lost a step, but we don't need him to break off 80 yard runs. We just need him to catch passes out of the back field which he will do excellent at as hands tend to get even better with age. We need him to carry the ball 10-15 times a game, which when he sees all the daylight our oline creates he will be very effective. He will also be a good back on 3rd and long because he can catch and pass block pretty good. Finally he will be an important veteran presence in the huddle and locker room who will show the young players how to be a pro and how to approach the game. Also he will be a calming presence for Sanchez in the huddle for him to be able to look up and see he's got an all time great going to war with him.

yeah LT is gonna be what makes Sanchez a great quarterback. Knowing he can dump it off to him, instead of Leon, who's even more dangerous with the football in open field, and pretty much just as good at catching it is gonna make all the difference. Tomlinson is battling injuries because he's old, moron. This is what happens when you get older.

Just because you would suck anyones dick who might get a sack doesn't mean the rest of the fanbase wants to. This guy was not just a "division rival", he's pretty much the worst and most insulting guy in the league towards this team in the last decade. But keep building your madden team homie... I bet you "own" people on that all day

Chad is simply crying like a bitch because players want to play for the Jets now. He wishes he could do the same and being the whiner he is...

No matter how bleak that "Final 8" rule made our offseason look when we first heard about it i'm pretty sure we all knew Tanny would find a way around it.
    UNBELIEVABLE!

Does anyone think the Pats make a move for Marshall because of this?

Here's what's floating MY boat. Players used to avoid the Jets like the plague. The Jets, that team's got the cooties. Now everyone wants to be our best friend. Hahaha, see how I laugh!

I'm sure he's just messing around and it shows me that other teams have taken notice of the Jets. But we still need to back it up on the field.

Having a hall of fame vet back in the backfield on a crucial third and three in the shotgun late in the game can be a huge thing for a young QB. He can help him call audibles, as well as his superior blocking skills and receiving skills. They are not asking LT to carry the team but having vets like LT to calm the young QB down and help him cannot be counted in stats.
