I've got nothing against Clemens i just don't see what he brings to this team. He's shown nothing when given the chance plus our rookie QB has more experience starting after year 1 then Clemens has had in his career.
Having a veteran QB on our sideline for Sanchez to consult with during games is a priceless learning tool.

Yeah I'm with you Koz. Not sure why all the snide comments are coming at him.
I wouldn't want my back up thinking any other way, and yeah hes still young enough to get a shot. Change may be the best thing for him.

Ok, in that case, I can see why no team is presently ready to throw a 3rd our way.

That's a good way to sum up the situation.

I don't get it. The guy was given multiple chances to show even a little bit of potential, and he's failed each time. He's deluding himself.

The only thing to bear in mind is that at NY he's never had an offence that's built for his strengths, if he were to get a move he might find an OC who was prepared to give him a playbook that's innately his. I'm not sure I know what that playbook would look like, though.

Unless they reintroduce the fumblerooski, not sure what plays he could run.

I've always liked Clemens, and while he hasn't performed on the field for us he seems to always support the team and say the right thing... I appreciate that he's never really tried to start or play up any drama.

I genuinely hope he gets a chance to play somewhere else.

he at least has some real game experience if sanchez ever goes down again and we need someone to fill in. yes he may suck and be horrible and when given the chance didnt make the best of it but when it comes to sending in a back up qb i would go with clemens over ainge or oconnel at this point.

that said if we can bring in a veteran then yes clemens should be let go

Trade Clemens for Ratliff back lol

Never liked Clemens i hope he finds some team willing to give us a 4th through 6th for him. Hell I'd even settle for it being in next years draft.

Any kind of middle round pick and most of us will be more than happy.

I want Ainge to beat out Clemens and cut Clemens and sign a veteran at the end of camp. I think that's the best we can hope for since we can only sign one FA

They you'd have a veteran who wasn't in camp and isn't in synch with the rest of the offense, with Ainge who has never played a live down in the NFL. I don't like that plan.

We were lucky last year when the game he started was against Tampa Bay.

Good for him that he remains optimistic about his role in the league, and if he wants some PT, he's gotta go elsewhere.

    They're like snakes with fur.
