Perhaps the Jets should sign him first? Then discuss?

if taylor signs, i'm buying 100 taylor ny jet jerseys and sending them to a homeless shelter in maimi.

or if he gets a new number here in ny, offer any dolphin fan free hotdogs at jet stadium if they get taylor's new number tatooed on their forehead

It the Jets sign him they need to find a way to have every Jet fan at the game in Miami this year wearing one.

I wouldn't buy his jersey because he is in the backend of his playing time, but I would gladly sign him to this team. If he helps this team with the passrush then why not?

I would never spend money on a jersey for a player that you know is going to be gone in the blink of an eye.
I didn't get a Favre won't get an LT and i would certainly never get a Taylor jersey unless it was a Dull-Phin jersey and i could use it to wax my car.

To my knowledge Favre didn't have any hatred for Minnesota throughout his whole career and he actually wanted to go there, unlike here. Taylor has pretty much said he'd come here if there were no other options. His own team refuses to sign him for anything before the draft, what does that tell you? The guy running the team is Bill Parcells, I tend to think he knows what he's doing.

Because he'll sign for the same amount that a kicker just received in Arizona.

Hey, you're the one who said it would be Brett Favre all over again, not me. You've repeatedly referred to Favre as being over the hill when he came here, and his performance last year shows that that couldn't have been less true, so somehow implying that Favre's disappointing performance at the end of 2008 has any relevance to signing Taylor is ridiculous.

And do I really need to point out the poor personnel decisions Parcells has made through the years? Are you seriously claiming that any player he doesn't want is automatically useless to any other team? It must be great for the Dolphins to have found the only person in the world who is perfect at their job.

Let me clarify. I said that I wouldn't be caught dead with one on. However, if I was in Miami, I'd rock it all over the joint.

My point about Favre is that he never wanted to be here and he mailed it in at the end of that year, not that he was over the hill. Taylor is a guy who also won't want to be here, if he comes here it's because nobody else wants him, so I don't want a guy who doesn't want to be here. There's too many other guys available who don't hate the Jets and are a lot younger in my opinion.
