-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ... i got in the car yesterday afternoon and heard the last 30 seconds of an interview on sirius with feely ... ... they were just discussing his thoughts on the possible new OT rule & after football career thoughts ... ... did anyone hear what was said able his offers & thoughts on returning to the jets or going to the cardinals? ... thx l_j_r
He said that the jets are one of the best organizations in football to play for and that everyone loves playing for rex. He loves ny and would like to come back but understands its a buisness. As for arizona hes visited and likes what they are doing and has many friends on the team. Its between the jets and cards. You can tell in his voice he would much rather be here. Feels like we are headed in right direction and fast. Also we have alot of young talent. An interesting fact he stated..... The next season after he left the giants to go to miami they won the super bowl. If he leaves us to go to an nfc team (cards), are we next? Go to the desert jay! All in all jay seems like a great guy, very smart and very humble and outspoken. I hope for the best for him.wouldnt mind him back at all.
I feel like folk will choke greatly in our stadium if the winds are still present. Feely is used to the winds. If it aint broke dont fix it!
That's not a reason to bring him back. We don't necessarily need a kicker hitting people on the kickoff. The last thing we need is to lose our kicker to injury because he tried to get aggressive on a kickoff. It was nice that he made a play and all, but it isn't needed. I like Feely. Thought he did a good job, but I won't care too much if he leaves.
One of those was directly Feely's fault because he overpursued and completely whiffed, and wasn't there when Ginn broke free.
Give me a break. It's the kicker's job to kick, everything else is extra. One of the fastest players in the NFL vs a 33-yo kicker... how could Feely have possible let that one get away.. On the other hand, it is Feely's fault for kicking the line drive that put Ginn in great position to make the runback.
What a load of bullshit. This is the first time I've ever seen someone directly blame a kicker for a TD return. The first Ginn runback was because Dwarfy Woodhead failed to seal the edge. The second one was when the center of the coverage, Izzo in particular, overpursued. If you're depending on the kicker as part of the kick coverage, your team is fucked.
If it means keeping Feeley I'd carry 3 kickers. of course we don't have alot of money invested in folk so we could let him go at any time.
I see no reason to keep Folk for kickoffs, as Feeley was consistently inside the 5 last year. Night and day when comparing Feeley and how deep his kicks went as opposed to "The Iceman," just a few years back.
are you seriously criticizing feely's kickoff coverage? the fact he covers at all and makes tackles is more than 90% of the kickers in the nfl.
